(i'm definitely sending this anonymously) you're wonderful and kind and all around a lovely person to talk to and spend time with. every character you take on writing you do so beautifully, and i always enjoy seeing you on the dash. i just think you're neat<3

              “ Yeah, and who are you? My father? ”  Steve scoffs, makes a face, and shakes his head — just three of the many pillars of disrespecting any kind of authority figure. It’s not like he had the best adult figures in his life, but common sense would tell him to tread a little lighter ... if he had much of it. He sticks is hands on his hips, almost to make himself look a little bit bigger standing in front of the other man — like he’s facing a bear.  “ I don’t have to listen to anything you say, man. ”

      𝐎𝐡 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. Sean snickered at first.

       ❝ There’s no harm in being proud of myself! My da’ didn’t grow no amateur and surely no quitter. That homestead back by Emerald Ranch got us a good take; I had my part in that train robbery, too y’know! Dutch keeps me around for a reason. ❞

      Despite the initial meeting between Sean, Dutch, and Hosea with that robbery that quickly snowballed into a laughing stock of himself back when he was nineteen, Sean has stuck to the gang as closely as he stays by the alcohol bin. Whenever ambition struck (and when Hosea made him go out for leads) Sean had a good eye for potential hear-sayers, the ones that couldn’t shut up quick enough and was egged on by alcohol and enthusiasm on Sean’s end. Despite his usual laziness, Sean was actually a rather talented thief and manipulator. 

      Sean grabbed a bottle from the crate, loosening the cap, until the loud mouth had another thing to say. ❝ Ya’ like me, ya’ do, just don’t say it so much. ❞

      Arthur’s just jealous.

she can't help it — she flinched. mostly because she knows he's right. once again, her reporter's nose got the best of her, & she'd found herself drawn to the trail. brooke sometimes forgot that some people wanted her her to be a lab rat, & others saw her as a pesky witess to eliminate ... what a fine line.

finally, she finds her voice. "you're right — you're right, but i found someone who said they could help me, help make a vaccine ... i had to see if it was true." there's a grit of her teeth. obviously, it had been too good to be true.

LIFE OFFERS FEW COMFORTS :  the  laugh  of  a  close  friend ,  a  cup  of  coffee  by  the  fire          certainly  a  quiet  morning  on  the  banks  of  the  water ,  fishing  rod  in  hand .   She  casts  a  glance  towards  her  company ,  hoping  his  luck  was  fairing  better  than  her  own  as  her  line  bobs  in  the  reflection  of  the  early - morning  sun .   Life  had  always  been  a  lonely  road  . . .  even  more  so  now  that  the  cabin  sat  empty .

It  was  the  emptiness  she  had  trouble  facing .

But  a  smile  warms  its  way  onto  her  features ,  reeling  the  line  in  ever  so  slightly .   He  seemed  like  a  nice  enough  man ;   the  sentiment  seems  genuine  at  the  very  least ,  and  she  can’t  help  but  wonder  how  long  it  had  been  before  she  took  a  moment  to  stop  and  b r e a t h e .

        A  BREATH  OF  AMUSEMENT;  fingers  working  buttons  into  holes,  adler  hadn’t  signed  up  for  quite  so  cold  mornings    (    a  stark  difference  from  his  once  warm  bed    ).  best  efforts  were  made  to  not  complain  so  much  though,  stacking  layers  upon  layers  seemed  to  do  the  trick  at  keeping  the  chill  at  bay  for  the  most  part    -    that  paired  with  staying  busy.  or  in  this  case;  readying  to  cause  trouble  of  sorts.  used  to  the  lifestyle  or  not,  rafe  always  seemed  fairly  optimistic  in  accompanying  arthur  into  town.  a  glance  is  spared  in  the  other  man’s  direction,  fingers  combing  back  unruly  hairs  before  he  uses  his  hat  to  keep  them  from  falling  forwards  when  head  dips;  teeth  catching  his  lower  lip  before  he  dare  tease.        ‘        y’know,  arthur    -    you’re  so  insistent  on  spending  time  with  me,  anyone  would  think  you  actually  like  me.        ’
