02. REGARDING BILLY HARGROVE :ย ย I fully understand that the writer does not equal the character and that a writer does not condone all of a characterโs actions just by writing them. This being said, I am apprehensive of Billy Hargrove blogsโ portrayals of him and will not be following or writing with any Billys.
I will mention Billy on this blog and discuss his actions in regards to Steve however.
03. This blog is SELECTIVE & PRIVATE. I will only be roleplaying with MUTUALS and priority will be given to friends and people Iโve already built relationships with ooc and ic. This is not meant to exclude anyone, as Iโm always willing to start new threads and talk to new people. I will also only follow people that are 20+.
04. This blog is on SELECTIVE ACTIVITY. I can disappear for days, weeks, or months at a time due to mental health reasons, other blogs I want to write on, etc. I am reachable through discord 99% of the time, however, if you want to keep contact when I am not on this blog.
05. I am generally DUPLICATE FRIENDLY, but I just wonโt follow first because that makes me anxious. Duplicates can make me anxious, but I am getting better at it. If youโre a fellow Steve blog and youโd like to discuss aspects of his character since we both know him, feel free to follow. Iโd probably love to talk.
06. I will NOT roleplay smut. I am over the age of 18, but will not actively write nsfw content due to personal preference.
Steve is also possibly underage, dependent on when threads are set. During the events of the first season, he is roughly seventeen, and around eighteen by the events of the second season. Despite Steve likely being a legal adult for the second and third seasons, Iโm largely uncomfortable even discussing nsfw topics regarding Steve, therefore nsfw content will not appear on this blog.

itโs munday so hereโs a throwback to when i visited the shooting location for the gho.stbusters firehouse in nyc and then me drawn as my spirits unleashed character (whoโs basically just me) courtesy of my little sister
grant patrick harringtonย ( b. october 10, 1934 ) โย born and raised in hawkins, it comes as no shock to learn that grant harrington had bigger goals than his familyโs small business. at a young age, the importance of effort and hard work are drilled into himย ( something he would later preach himself )ย . excelling in school, he was quick to leave hawkins following high school, going to chicago in order to pursue a degree and a career in law. after years working toward and achieving this, grant returns to his hometown, more accomplished and perhaps a bit more serious. shortly after joining a hawkins firm, grant meets charlotte gifford when assisting with her familyโs estate. the next year goes by quickly, capped off in an accepted marriage proposal, then a wedding months later.ย /ย when his son, steven, was born, many might be surprised to learn just how happy grant was, though it soon becomes evident fatherhood may not be the correct path for him. in a couple years, grant begins his own law firm, something that quickly takes up more of his time than his career already had. he becomes proud of, even prideful in the things heโs built in his life and in how well he can support his familyย ( financially )ย .
charlotte mary harrington, nรฉe giffordย ( b. february 23, 1940 ) โย born to none other than the gifford family โ yes, those giffords โ charlotte was one of the lucky ones, living a comfortable life of relative luxury. as luxurious as oneโs life can be in the small town of hawkins. but seeing as the gifford family has lived in hawkins since the townโs founding, a legacy and a certain prestige โ not to mention money โ are to come with the name. a name she eventually gave up just eleven months after meeting grant harrington, a young estate lawyer, in 1964ย ( married summer 1965 )ย .ย /ย in may of 1966, charlotte gave birth to their only son, steven jeremy, named for grantโs father steven and charlotteโs father jeremy. taking to the mother role is difficult and restless work ; baby steven is a challenge and handful, for just one child, but charlotte finds her rocky footing in motherhood and as a homemaker with time. as steve begins school, however, charlotte begins pursuing activities outside the home โ namely, serving on the city council. though the gifford name was already respected, charlotte herself earns her own respect, not only as aย ย โ working mother โย but also as a valued member of the town of hawkins.
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย โ Yeah, I ... โย He rubs the back of his neck, looking down, away from her eyes for a moment.ย ย โ I know. โย And he looks back up. She means it, he can tell โ he knows her well enough to know that โ and he means it too. And maybe thatโs all he can say about how much he knows her. He didnโt pay enough attention when it mattered, and now maybe itโs just too little too late.ย ( It hurts, she hurt โ but it could be a hurt he needed. )ย Steve gives her a kind of reassuring look, also recognizing that kicked puppy-dog look in her eyesย ( yeah ... she could always melt him like that )ย .ย ย โ I know, Nance, โย he promises.ย
ย ย ย ย ย ย ย Most people might say she made a mistake, but, looking back, it was coming his way.ย ( Lousy boyfriend, remember? )ย He canโt hold it against her. One side of his lips even tip up into a kind of smile ; he doesnโt want her to feel guilty, he canโt do that to her. Steve takes in a breath and breaks eye-contact once again, looking a little ... sheepish. Nervous. He has his hands in the pockets of his jacket and he kicks the toe of his sneaker into the pavement lightly for a moment before standing up straighter again.ย ย โ Plus, you know ... โย He shrugs a little bit and their eyes meet :ย โ You were right. โย He doesnโt need to say it, what she was right aboutย ( when wasnโt she right? )ย . They both know ... And if either of them claims they donโt ...ย ( Bullshit. )
i know i was already very spotty with my activity but for at least the next few days or so iโll mostly be available on discord and i wonโt do much more than lurk on the dash. there are some things happening in my personal life and iโm focusing my time and energy there. sorry.
