Wasp Moth on playing card Mixed Media 2021 I was busy drawing and forgot to post this morning. Here is a Wasp Moth for your Monday!🥰 The Wasp Moth outnumber butterflies 9 to 1. They have an incredible sense of smell so if you want to avoid them, use peppermint, lemon grass or other essential oils. Sadly they do not all have a mouth but make up for it by eating more during their caterpillar stage in preparation for their short lives. They are important pollinators and adore nectar. Thank you @wiggedywotsit for your wonderful reference photo and for your lovely site that always inspires. #tigermoth #waspmoth #playingcardart #inkillustrations #smalldelights #finearttoday #dowhatinspiresyou #betruetoyourself #inspireart #appreciatewhatyouhave #ayatanacardsweep #artistresidency #moahcedar #natureart #entomologyart (at Canoga Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CWBrzhLvtAf/?utm_medium=tumblr
This was a bit harder but my internet is wonky and I snapped this earlier today so we’re gonna fly with it. This is the first boss in The Lost City of Amdapor Hard and is named Achamoth. When looking up the name it basically means “Mother” and “she who brings forth”, depending on what mystic religion you go with. All of it is fitting for the dungeon.
I’m thinking for the actual design, Square Enix did a cross between a wasp moth and a tiger moth. That is my best guess anyway! There are many different species of these two and if one was to combine them, you could develop something of this nature.
