The Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus) is one of the UK's most familiar and charismatic birds of prey. Over the course of the last 40 years, however, increasing pressures from agricultural intensification and changes in land use have contributed to a substantial decline in the size of their UK population. The Kestrel now has an amber conservation status in the UK and is listed as a species of conservation concern across Europe. http://www.kestrelcount.org
