I am once more crippled by my feelings regarding this

-Sees her standing in the rain. Kneejerk reaction is to softly admonish her and rush to cover her. I cannot stress enough that to Watanuki she's not the Dimensional Witch, she's just Yuuko-san, someone he cares for. And, of course, it wasn't necessary for him to fuzz over her but he still DOES, even after understanding she will not be affected by the same things as him or the rest of their friends. He just wants to care for her, I'm soft.

-Yuuko's reaction to being cared for after Ohkawa knows how long of being just someone people make wishes to. The things it must have done to her head, I'm not surprised she copes however the fuck she can. But then, there's someone who cares, someone worried that she might get sick in the rain and runs to put an umbrella over her. Look at her fucking face I'm going to piss my own ass.

-This is the shippy side so feel free to ignore but I'm trying not to think about the fact that he was gonna share an umbrella with her. I'm happy with them just being people that loved each other deeply even if it wasn't romantic but I'm also weak for the crumbs I get.

My opinions about some ships: Nobita x Shizuka: cute childhood love actually ended up together in the end Shirou x Michiru: cool detective buddies Gilgamesh x Saber: need to heal from their heartbreak first (then become best friend and possibly something more than that) Reisi x [xxx]: one love the other but not sure if he has the same feelings so they repressed it for themselves (to the point that they don't even recognized that it's love), while Reisi know and care for them but feeling doubtful to received said love due to thinking he didn't deserve it Watanuki x Yuuko: *angst intensifies* Rikuo x Tsurara: at first appear as an unhealthy obsession from the latter but slowly and surely gain my respect because of their loyalty to each other Teito x Ouka: they're neat (also AU where they don't have a distant blood ties pls???) Zenjou x OC: well they're already canon what's the point on talking about it? Free x Marlya: PERFECT!!!

I just remember, chapter 54 of xxxHolic-Rei gave us hope of Yuuko’s return. But the event happened when Doumeki Shizuka was still alive, in fact, so far all 54 chapters were still in the 10 year period after Watanuki succeeded the shop from Yuuko.

The end of xxxHolic told us that Yuuko still hasn’t returned even though Watanuki has been waiting for more than 100 years at her shop, and he said he would continue waiting. Shizuka then has passed away for a few decades.

Compare to the timeline in xxxHolic-Rei, this means the event of Zashiki Warashi still hasn’t marked the return of Yuuko yet. And it won’t happen anytime soon.

How long is this manga going to last until Yuuko (possibly) returns?
