Current Family Tree for all playable Robin River Residents, because I wouldn’t blame if you were lost. (No, I don’t play with the extended family mod. Vera and Daniel are a wee close for me personally, but he *is* adopted, and they aren’t first cousins,so I’m going with it. Sims are going to Sim, and that’s on them.) I cut out some of the duplications from the last time I posted this, because there’s a limit to how many times I need Romana’s face, I mean, it was just a simpler looking thing. Hopefully I didn’t make it too hard to follow. You know how to reach me if you’re confused!

Interrupting your regularly queued story again to bring you an updated family tree. Relatives keep dying, but the family is not getting any smaller. I apologize for not cutting the overlap, but there just wasn’t an easy way to get all of Penelope and Odin’s kids in pics without overlap. If their name is greyed out, you’ll find them either in Huckleberry Cemetery or in Gideon’s backyard. All pics are of their adult age, unless they haven’t gotten there yet. Thanks, always, to @charmandersims for managing the user support when I couldn’t get Simone to fit properly at the Family Echo website where we keep the Huckleberry Family Tree.

Let me know if you’d be interested in one for the dogs as well, since they’re all related. As always, I hope this helps more than confuses. You may now return to the story as it progresses.

Mostly, I was worried when I inherited the legacy from @grimbunnies​ about three things: 1. Was I going to be able to keep the story as interesting as it has been?

2. Was I going to be able to keep it consistent from @katatty​, @charmandersims​, and @grimbunnies​, but still make it mine?

3. How on earth was I going to be able to tell Gideon’s story and not ignore all the other characters?

I think Philippa’s diary lets me do that...she’s going to be naturally more inclined to talk about her brother than distant cousins, but she’s also a mean-spirited, overly dramatic family sim, so she’d be interested in family gossip.

And, major plus, she’s a supernatural skeptic, so she’s sort of naturally the unreliable narrator we all love to read (even when we love to hate them or don’t want to admit that we love them).

Here’s to the next round being less interrupted by my health, and easier to play now that I’ve gotten into the swing of things!

Just some final things before we move to the second ROS (another week or so in the lives of Robin River Residents)… When I rolled that Jordan’s family would have a shotgun wedding, I did intend for her to marry Romana, but when I had Jordan invite her over,

Jordan popped, and Romana was well and truly pissed.
So, okay, not the wedding couple after all… I don’t know if you knew or guessed that, but Elisa Walterson knew.

Speaking of things Sims know… I love the judging look of the mailman. Like, really, the Social Worker is dumping the baby in the snow!?

I have never had a Servo run amok before. It was really fascinating, and I may never get over it. 
I’ve also never used the Murphy bed, and now I know why.

As for the Makena and Alec thing, I really didn’t plan it. But when I opened her house, she promptly booty called him. So….

Jordan walked by the house in the pregnant waddle, and my first thought was, “Oh, hi, Brandi! Wait, how did Brandi Broke get here? Oh, that’s..”

Some loading screens so you know what they look like at the end of the second rotation and on to the third. Thank you, Random Occurrence Scenarios, for the lack of juvenile delinquency in this round. Last round with Zach was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never had a sim run away before. Even the Pleasant Twins (TM) stay at home and get scholarships to University.

Full disclosure from the Watcher. I saved and quit after taking this picture (it was dinnertime for the Puddle Family). When I opened the game the next day, Gideon’s hunger and hygiene bars were completely red. Not just red, but all the way to the left. He’s standing right there next to the pork chops he burnt, so I directed him to eat.

He died first.

I quit without saving.

If Olivia had two siblings, I might have let him die. But this was just too soon. Besides, who wants to put in canon that Duncan killed his great-grandson on the very night that the first of the fifth generation was born? Not me. You’re welcome, Gideon. (If this bothers you, then please vote for Olivia when it’s time for the heir poll. After all, she was born before this. If it doesn’t bother you, then just enjoy the picture again and move on. I don’t consider surviving a glitch cheating, and all was well after restarting.)

I interrupt your regularly queued story to bring you an updated family tree, because the family is huge and hard to follow. My three predecessors began and updated this tree on Family Echo. Thanks,  @katatty, @charmandersims, and @grimbunnies!! (Warning: I always update the tree before queuing posts. If you don’t want to know about births, deaths, and marriages before the fact, you know how to deal.) I like it a lot, and I think I’ll be using it for future simming stories as well! Just by clicking on a face, I can see traits, aspirations, jobs, whatever I choose to put into their biographical info.! Please note that none of the pictures were changed past adulthood. Duncan no longer looks like that in my game--he’s an elder ghost. Helena looks different because she’s an elder, my defaults changed Rob Oto, Jenny and Jordan are witches...the pictures will help, but aren’t meant to be your only guide. I’d also like to apologize to Alec for clipping the edge of his pictures. His grandparents had a lot of kids! I hope this helps you more than it confuses you. We now return to the story as it progresses.

Notes from the Huckleberry Watcher’s Log: There is nothing in the world like changing defaults and removing custom content. I’m torn as to whether I prefer Thor or Brian’s new looks. Jeff was so horrifying I didn’t even wait to get a pic in-lot. Enjoy the loading screen snippet. (I was tempted to keep Thor’s, since it went so well with the work uniform. But a metal helmet in an Oceanography career…better not.)
