في مواقف كتير ممكن نمر بيها ونقرر نتجاهلها ظناً بعفوية إنها هتتنسي وبكرة مسيرها تتبعتر في الهوا. لكنها وهي بتعمل كده بتسيب أثر يشوه حاجة فينا. واحنا بنبقى متخيلين عشان ما نقهرناش ولا اكتئبناش ولا اتجنناش إنها بسيطة. ورغم إن ممكن موقف واحد في حقيقيته يكون بسيط وتافه إلا إن تكرار مواجهة المواقف (البسيطة) اللي زي دي بيسيب مع الزمن آثار أكتر تبدل بالتدريج روحنا.. وممكن جداً نفقد القدرة على التعرف على نفسنا. الصحة النفسية مهمة جداً وأكتر دلوقتي لأن كل حاجة حوالينا تقريباً تبعث على الجنون. محتاجين نخلق حوار متواصل مع النفس.. محتاجين مانعديش حاجة (كده) ولا نستقل بحاجة.. محتاجين نتعلم نعمل فحص دوري على عقولنا ونفوسنا عشان مش كل اتنين متر نخبط في حيطة وندوخ وننسى كنا رايحين فين. وعلى رأي الچورنال: حافظ على نفسك (يا منيل!) وراعيها. #journal #journalart #journaling #artjournal #pschology #conscious #mentalhealth #selftalk #therapy #october #art #stopthemisery #watchyourthoughts #selfcare #help #gethelp

When you feel miserable, it is obvious just how difficult it is to escape the here and now. The present seems more like a trap than a gateway to freedom. Watching your thoughts is no help, because your thoughts just confirm how difficult the here and now can be and how reasonable it is to be miserable. All that’s left is being nice to yourself and others. That is good place to start.

When you see what you are thinking while you try to be nice, you notice all the thoughts you entertain that aren’t nice. When you hold an ideal of living in the here and now, you also notice when your thoughts are drifting into the past and future. You can see how those thoughts interact with your moods. As you pay close attention to your thoughts and moods and time and kindness, you may notice little slivers of the here and now that seem more tolerable.

Waking up is coming back to your body, and feeling the quiet joy or less quiet pain of being alive. When you practice mindfulness and mediation regularly, awakening again and again, at some point you realize that you are not separate from everything else. At that moment you have another awakening.
