Soko prepares lunch for Master Tiko and his family every morning. We followed her around the staff quarters at Vatulele District School to see how #water is used for #food preparation in remote island communities. Water is fetched from an unprotected well using a bucket. Soko boils the water over a fire to kill off some of the bacteria, however there is no guarantee that its safe for drinking.
