Today’s online Water Gilding Refresher Class focused on the technique of red bole over yellow. Clay bole works together with the underlying gesso to produce a bright, smooth burnish of the gold leaf while imparting a sympathetic color under the particular kt of gold leaf used, informing the overall tone.
