REVIEW: Leong Yeow Famous Waterloo St Hainanese Chicken Rice Branch
The name's a mouthful. If only the chicken rice was a mouthful of delicious.
Chicken Rice (roast chicken, drumstick) $3.80 What's good: The dressing, a chickeny salty clear sauce that brushes the tips of your palate with everything that screams the perfect chicken rice.
What's not: The chicken and the rice. I usually order chicken drum because it's the tenderest meat. This one wasn't tender. And the rice was like a half-hearted attempt to make chicken rice rice. It tasted more like it was 50% bai fan.
