Watermello

--This is my AU Donnie I've been playing around with for the last two years or so --DARKER THEMES--PLEASE STAY SAFE

A few things about him

-During the Kraang invasion when Mikey pulls Leo out he's not alive, he's comatose

-Donnie is severely not OK with this outcome

-He sets Leo up in a stasis tank while he tries to figure out how to bring him back, often coming to his tank to talk to the lifeless shell of his twin, this is the only time after the invasion he shows any true emotion

-Donnie eventually steals the sister Kraang from the EPF and begins experimenting on her to aid in his research to bring Leo back

-Using these samples he's taken from her he begins to experiment on himself before using anything on his twin

-this leads to his shell, eyes and teeth changing

-he becomes feral at a certain point in the experimentation and has to be restrained by Mikey's mystic chains (this is where the burn markings around his arms and legs come from)

-after the feral incident he creates a spinal implant to place into his spine at the base of his skull to kill him immediately if the Kraang DNA in his system ever tries to fully overtake him/mutate him

-After he has obtained everything he could possibly need from the sister Kraang he tortures her, eventually holding her down in a vat of boiling acid (Where his hands got the burns)

-The ball joint and bar in his leg were from some of the injuries he sustained during the invasion

-Mikey doesn't speak after pulling Leo from the void, he's become mute

-Splinter passes away about a year after they get Leo back home, from grief or guilt it is unclear

-Donnie is generally apathetic to Mikey and downright refuses to speak to Raph after arguing about the morality of keeping his twins body alive when his soul was clearly gone

-somewhere between the experiments on himself his ninpo fades and his markings disappear, he discovers something unusual about them when under direct UV light though

So this started out as a drawing of a mad scientist type Donnie, but then it just kind of evolved from that and as I went on I was thinking of just making my own AU version of him. I unironically call him "Watermello" because I think I'm funny haha. Anyway, have this unhinged turt. Hope to make a full reference of him some day. Very doc oc type, but also Dr. Frankenstein mixed in. He's more interested in dismantling things and seeing how they work than to make friends. Please do not use for any kind of roleplay/reference/donniekin/icon/anything
