Wattpad brought back feed!
[and my over-emotional reading of it]
for context, Wattpad has been a frame for big parts of my whole adolescence, and also a place where i found a lot of my online friends. like, half of them (counting people i'm not friends with anymore).
sadly, i missed its "actually good" times, since i started using it in 2019, when awful money were already a thing, but i had the pleasure (a tad bit of sarcasm) to admire the almost entirety of its downfall from the inside.
i remember when news feed was removed. because it was the easiest way to find new books and friends. "shit, my bestie really loves this book, i should check that out aswell". that was one of the things keeping the community alive and well.
i remember fights together with my friend Toby and other people, contacting admins, protesting, and stuff. kinda similar to what's happening with the Tumblr strikes, altho i gotta admit, this is way more organized than our young tries lol.
and now, nobody expected it. it's been years since people shut up about it, because it appeared that the fight had ended, and we had lost.
but now, it's been brought back. never stop fighting, and most importantly, never stop hoping - in more important contexts, too <3
we won :)
(ps: i hope they're gonna bring back dms, too, or else the situation might be a little bit chaotic lmao)
