[ THUNK. ]
[The waters hot, too hot. for any genuinely comfort is someone starting a large bonfire ? ]
[ definitely not as there's some ticks scuttling away from the source ]
[ The crackling of fire was temporary as a sound that could be the equivalent to a kettle over heating and making the irritating shrieking whistle from across the sewer hall ]
[ .... Definitely not alone anymore. ]

[The creature gurgled, the deafening whistle interrupting its nap. It left its usual hiding spot, managing to catch a stray tick as it tried to scurry away. Definitely not the most nutritious of meals, but in the sewers that's about as good as it gets.]
[Sure, the smell of food from a nearby camp was enticing, but... Something deep in the creature's fractured mind kept it away.]
[It swam closer to the source of the heat though the admittedly shallow water, seemingly curious, but stopped a reasonable distance from the gargantuan furnace nestled in the middle of the sewer junction. Huh. Was it suddenly active now? But why?]
[It totally wasn't related to the creature snacking on the ticks conveniently scattered around the sewers, usually stuck to a pipe-like tendril. Toootally not.]
