I adore your Fulgrim/Lady Dittersdorf fic, and it made me think. When she is finally tended to, the physician is going to notice that she isn't pregnant. So what if Fulgrim thinks that she lost the baby due to the stress?

realistically, there are signs that a miscarriage has occurred but lets say in this scenario those weren't noticed/accounted for thanks to her injuries i think he'd be devastated but a little bit relieved. fulgrim would feel guilty for that tiny bit of relief he feels.
and i think somehow and someway fulgrim thinking she lost the baby due to the stress would ruin their relationship. bridges would actually be burnt. maybe in a year or two they'd be civil with each other but nowhere as close.
as for what actually happens in the fic we'll just see hihi :>
