Edan@Axel: "The police are incompetent unless it has something to do with crimes against the government?" the masked man asked, "Why so? Are they scared of being fire, or are they oppressing the people for the government?"
Oh, ho, ho boy do I have a story for you. You see ten maybe fifteen years ago Kalos had once been a democracy that is until the followers of Life, Death, and Order, or whatever the fuck those bastards want to call themselves, were voted into power. They had enough seats to radically change the constitution without opposition and more or less cemented the president as a totalitarian dictator. From there, freedoms were restricted, political opponents silenced, the whole deal.
For a once prosperous democracy, the people were, naturally, not very happy with the change to an oppressive regime. Most accepted that this is society now and we had to suck it up, but there were others that sought to protest the regime in Lumiose and regain their democracy, heh, that ended in a massacre, hundreds died from multiple gunshot wounds and from gas. Let that sink in for a moment, the government used poison gases and live ammunition on otherwise peaceful protesters. The remainder of those protesters and other people went underground after the massacre to form an armed resistance movement with revolution being the goal, or as the government would like to call them a terrorist organization hell bent on plunging Kalos into anarchy, hehehe.
For the most part, the police had been oppressing the populace since day one of the takeover and it has been five years since I arrived in Kalos after fleeing from Unova. But despite law enforcement’s priorities being jacked, they have jack shit on me since whatever “evidence” they collect on me, or anyone for that matter, gets corrupted real quick thanks to a worm a friend of mine installed on their systems. Best part is is that they don’t know how to remove it, haha. It’s all perfect for someone like me. But, mark my words though, the flames of war start small but they are being stoked by the calls for revolution and rebellion, and Kalos will burn in the inferno that follows.
