The Suicide Squad isn't supposed to go against world ending threats like Enchantress, Starro or Brainiac. They're supposed to be sent in for government missions and if they accidentally trigger something bad Batman or Superman take care of it.

Warner Bros has gotten them wrong three times!! They need to stop!

‘It’s not so bad,’ a voice said, startling you into action.

Your powers had only just manifested themselves and you hated it. You’d run all the way to some little alley in the hopes of getting away from a crowd of people who might think, with everything else that happens if Gotham City, that you were there to hurt them. Now your hackles were raised, the electricity cackled over your hands as you lifted them to an attack position.

The sparks helped to light the alleyway, and it was only then that you realised you were face to face with the criminal deemed “Killer Croc”. Your heart thundered against your chest, blood pounded in your ears.

‘Water and electricity don’t tend to mix,’ he noted. ‘But those powers are part of you.’

You let out a shuddering breath, trying to make sense of what was happening.

‘Now, wanna show them people out there what true power is?’

The question was more of an invitation, something that you hadn’t expected of the criminal. And yet there was no judgement behind those eyes. There was no look of fear which is what you had been met with recently.

So, without allowing yourself to think about it too much, you nodded slowly. It was going to take a while to get used to your powers, to accept that you had them. But if everyone deemed you a “baddie” for one little mistake, why not take up the mantel?
