The shop is empty and still, all but boarded up in its neglect, but doing so would mean remembering its presence on this side street and for the most part the antique shop has fallen out of people’s thoughts entirely. Save for the two who now peruse it, A man all black with a shock of white hair to top it and the wisp of a young woman who slips out from the safety of his long jacket just enough to peer into cases. The shop has an air that would cause most others to cast their eyes elsewhere and hurry past. It is not so much a place where the past collects as where it comes to die. These two however seem immune, especially girl, practically giddy as she is.

There’s certainly enough there to catch her eye, jewelry, dresses, dolls ( only no. No dolls anymore. They just leave spots for things to fill. She doesn’t need to give them any more openings than they have. ) and lovely old things that make her nostalgic even if she can’t remember always why. Slender hands touch upon old furniture, caress gowns, admire vases. There’s so many lovely things here and greedy little thing that she is she considers taking them ALL.

Returning fully to the all encompassing embrace of her lover, her center, HER WORLD, she places her small chin on his chest and looks up at him in pure ADORATION. “ There’s so many lovely things here Spike ! If I could I’d take the lot but I think as is we’ll have to pay for what we get there’s enough left of the shopkeep to get cross. How about a gift for me and i’m thinking one of those dresses might be a nice gift for you. ” Her smile turns coquetteish, eyes gleaming with oh so many dark, wonderful promises.

Cordelia gasped, feigning offense. “Oh, I’m just so offended. Because honestly, I shouldn’t even have been in the same room alone with you,” she quipped, eyes blinking rapidly as though her irritation could dissolve him on the spot. “You know, you’re the one who started this!
