The Wayne County Building, “one of the most sumptuous buildings in Michigan” as seen on 9/13/2017.  Construction of some sort seemed to be going on all around downtown Detroit, including here.  A picturesque nighttime photo (taken with a really wide-angle lens) of this building from a couple of years ago can be seen here.

Detroit’s Wayne County Building was dedicated on October 11, 1902.  The building graces the front of this c. 1910 leather postcard, manufactured by A.C. Dietsche.

Handwritten on back: "Received your card but am still at my old trick at neglecting to write expect to go to Sarnia this summer. J.C." Card is postmarked March 16, 1909.
