Today was a great day and here's why. I watched the Beauty and the Beast show at Hollywood Studios and then finally saw the new Beauty and the Beast. A star is born. A bunch of them, actually.

I just watched the premiere of Way Off Broadway on Bravo! Canada TV. What a great, great show. I was laughing through the tears by the time the credits rolled. (Full disclosure -- my daughter is in the credits as assistant to the director). But trust me, you don't have to be friends or family with anyone involved to enjoy this show immensely. 

Twenty-one amateur actors/singers/dancers stage a production of The Wizard of Oz in only 8 weeks and the cameras are there recording all the doubts, thrills and hiccups along the yellow brick road. The production, camera work, and sound are all amazing, giving you the feeling you're actually in the church basement as the first tentative steps are taken. 

I was fortunate enough to be at the show itself which was the culmination of all this work, and it's amazing to see the germination and development of the process. I believe there are 12 more episodes to come, and I will be glued to my TV for each one. Friday nights at 8PM on Bravo! Canada.
