House of Mysteries (RP Event Intro)
A storm is coming. You felt it in the way the wind blew long before darkness took the sky, but you assumed you could make it to the next town in time. What a wrong assumption that was on your part. You barely made it halfway before rumbling thunder was shaking the ground beneath you, lightning dancing across the sky behind the mountains. If you had more time, you might admire it.
With black clouds moving in to loom over you, threatening to drown you with their very presence, you decide it’s time to take cover. But where? You’re surrounded by nothing but trees and the cobblestone road in front of you seems to stretch to the horizon, not a building or even a cave in sight...
You wander, pushing your luck with time as sprinkles begin to paint the ground a darker color. If you didn’t find cover soon, you might freeze to death from the wet chill the storm would surely bring-
There!
A small shack, overgrown with grass and weeds. Abandoned, you realize. It wouldn’t be the perfect cover, as the wood looked like it would barely hold to the gusts of wind, but it would have to do.
Just as you scurry past the threshold, the sky begins to dump buckets. Thankfully, you’re mostly dry, but there is a small fire pit in the center of the floor just waiting to be lit, and besides a slight leak in the ceiling on one side of the place, you’ll remain dry.
After a quick glance around, you deduce that this was once a hunter’s shack. Various tools for skinning hung above a table, next to it a basket of broken arrows that were never repaired and a chest that was raided long ago. There’s a shelf with old books, unreadable now thanks to the environment taking its toll on the pages, and a bed with little more than a fur blanket for cover.
Lightning lights up the inside, followed by a roll of thunder. The storm wasn’t going to let up anytime soon. You light a fire to get a little more light and sit on the bed, hands held out towards the flames while they warm you.
Hours seem to pass, and still, the storm rages on with a fury you hadn’t seen in a long while. Exhaustion and boredom are taking their toll on your mind, and you find yourself laying back on the bed to stare at the ceiling while the crackling of the fire begins to lure you to sleep...
And when you wake up, you realize you’re definitely not in the hunter’s shack anymore.

Yupp. That’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.
