Hey so I love your writing! If it’s okay, I have a request (obviously you don’t have to do it if you don’t want to) and basically in London there’s a Frozen Yoghurt shop called ‘Snog’. And what if the reader and Tom were dating and her and Harrison were like ‘We r gonna go have a snog’ and Tom gets jealous
this concept!!! <3
"They're a little pricey, but I think it's worth it," Haz reasoned, looking over your shoulder as you scrolled through the online menu.
You nodded in agreement and slid your phone back into your pocket. "I'll go if you drive."
"Do you think Tom will want one?" your boyfriend's best friend asked.
You turned your head toward the kitchen, where Tom was currently on a Zoom call for work and nodded again.
"As long as it has strawberries he'll eat it.," you said, smiling to yourself at the thought of surprising him with a sweet treat after a long day.
You and Harrison tiptoed past Tom, careful not to get into frame, and paused to grab your bag and keys from the hook beside the door. You had nearly escaped without raising suspicion when a pointed cough stopped both of you in your tracks.
You glanced back to see Tom mute his mic and take one of his AirPods out, eyeing you with an air of amusement.
"Where are you two sneaking off to?"
You exchanged a guilty look with Harrison and tried to shrug it off casually.
"Nowhere."
"You wouldn't need the keys to Harrison's car to go nowhere," he pointed out with the raise of an eyebrow.
You sighed in defeat, your hopes of surprising him slipping away. "We're going for a Snog," you admitted.
Tom choked even though he didn't have anything in his mouth and stared at you incredulously. "That's not funny."
"We'll be right back!" you insisted, unsure as to why he was getting so worked up all of the sudden.
"It won't take long," Haz added.
"What the fuck, mate?" Tom demanded, standing from the barstool he'd been perched on. He clenched his jaw and gave you an angry glare, but zeroed in on his best friend instead. He narrowed his eyes at Haz and cocked his head expectantly like he was awaiting an explanation.
"I didn't having a Snog would be such a big fucking deal!" Harrison shot back, stepping in front of you defensively.
"With my girlfriend?"
"I mean, you can come too, but we just thought you were busy with work," you offered, still confused.
"I'm supposed to be the third in my own god damn relationship? Nice to know I was just an afterthought," Tom scoffed, pinching the bridge of his nose in disbelief. "Why don't you just suck him off in the kitchen right here in front of me, then?"
"What the fuck are you talking about, Tom?" you snapped finally.
He looked to be on the verge of tears and blinked at you in confusion. "You're going off to make out with my best friend and do... who knows what else with him, and I'm just supposed to be okay with it?"
Oh.
"No, baby, we're going for frozen yogurt," you explained.
"But you said-"
"The place is called Snog, dumbass," Harrison piped up from behind you.
"You're not being helpful," you hissed at him before turning back to your boyfriend. "But yes, the frozen yogurt place is called Snog and they call their products snogs too. We were going to bring them back here and surprise you with one."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Tom scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "I'm sorry for overreacting."
You smiled and pulled him into an embrace, pressing a kiss to his temple as his arms came to rest around your waist. "I'm sorry for the miscommunication."
"You really thought I would just throw away over a decade of friendship?" Harrison asked.
"I dunno, man. It's been a long day. I've had so many meetings. Nothing is making sense anymore."
"Speaking of meetings, you should get back to the one you're in," you said and nudged your boyfriend's shoulder gently. "They're probably wondering where you disappeared to."
"You're right." He kissed you once on the lips and squeezed your hand. "I'm sorry again."
"I know. I'm sorry too."
Tom gave you a half smile as he took his place back at the kitchen island and popped his other AirPod back into his ear.
"I'm also sorry," Harrison said, "even though I would never do something like that to you." He made eye contact with Tom then glanced back down at you with a smirk. "No matter how hot your girlfriend is."
