Okay, but there's no explanation for why the most logical end to his sentence is 'loved you'. like. There's just nothing else you can put doesn't feel drawn out. 'respected you' works, but like...sakura has very clearly shown his respect and admiration. sure he doesn't call umemiya by any titles, or doesn't always outright say it to the others but it's clearly there.
also 'for you' makes it very explicit that this is suo only. he feels whatever he's going to say for suo only. sure he (probably) might be wanting to say 'felt you understood me best' or something of the sort, but 'loved you' just fits.
