Shortly though, Wbuna felt a sharp pain. Alex hadn't warned her how much human childbearing hurt! Why they chose to do it this way, she wasn't sure she understood.

But her labor was quick, at least. She welcomed a second boy to the family, Naming him Khikron, a common name on her long gone planet.

Alex and Wbuna mutually decide that since both children take after Wbuna, they will both also take her last name of Vybirlbh

Alex was in a good mood the next morning. Both women were bursting at the seams at this point. “I’m just glad it’s almost over. I’m tired.”

Wbuna played with the toast on her plate, not really eating it. Alex might be glad it was almost over, but Wbuna knew her real job was only just about to begin. Their new children would be here shortly, and Alex would be back in the office full time… Wbuna wondered if she’d be able to get a job like Alex had.

Not that she wanted to spend less time with the kids, no. Unlike Alex's seeming disregard for them, Wbuna loved the kids more than anything. But she also knew Alex's blogging job wouldn't pay for 6 mouths to feed either.

Wbuna was very excited to see this new child looked much more like her than the girls did.

When the twins had been born, Wbuna had been worried. She'd always been taught that Alien traits were more dominant. That was the entire point of the breeding program. Human sims presented the perfect vessel to continue their dying species. While the offspring from tests were still half human, their traits tended to be on the alien side of things, which was the best that the species could hope for.

Wbuna had worried maybe she was... defective when Liliana and Eloisa were born, taking on none of the traits of her parent species. Thinking critically, she'd assumed that it was due to the more natural process they'd been conceived under. That that had skewed the test results her species had.

Now though, she was happy to see her alien traits were strong in the newest member of the family.

Likewise, with help around the house, Wbuna became more and more excited to meet her two new offspring.

While she had spent decades helping her species repopulate, none of those children were technically her's. She'd only just started to be a field worker when she'd met Alex.

And while she obviously had the two girls, this felt different. Maybe it was due to the fact that she was carrying one herself?
