The 2018 World Day for Audiovisual Heritage will take place on 27 October (that’s tomorrow!). The Hagley Library will be closed (as the man says, when it’s coffee time, it’s coffee time). But we do hope that you’ll join the Coordinating Council of Audiovisual Archives Associations (CCAAA) in celebrating the “thousands of archivists, librarians and preservationists around the world [who] strive to make our world’s cultural heritage accessible and safeguard it for the future.”
We’re kicking off the celebrations a little early with this clip from 'Understanding Norms: Part 1', a 1970s industrial film about how social norms influence employees in the workplace that was used to teach the SMI/Coca-Cola Normative System Program.
This video is part of the Hagley Library’s Sponsored and industrial motion picture film collection (Accession 2018.222). You can watch it, as well as many other sponsored and industrial films, in their entirety on our Digital Archives by clicking here.
