Carb Backloading
Ok, so I've been doing some research into carb backloading, and I'm going to give it a try. One of my friends Dani swears by it as she's seen great results from. I don't see that I have anything to loose, so I'll give it a shot for a few weeks... Ten to be exact - that's when my next competition is.
Have any of you guys tried carb backloading? If so, please mail me to let me know how you got on with it!
On another note, one of my other Power Lifting friends dead lifted 180kg unequipped today, and it felt pretty easy for her :) She's well on her way to joining the 200 club, and I'm so hoping she'll get it at the WDFPF World Single Lift Powerlifting Championships in Germany two weeks #DrugFreeBaby
James Hickey's WDFPF world record deadlift of 320@110kg
He practically stiff-legs it up, which is crazy.
From the World Drug-Free Powerlifting Federation's rulebook: "L. BLOOD BORNE PATHOGENS/INFECTIONS: In an effort to protect against the possibility of blood borne pathogens/infections, athletes will NOT be allowed to strike their heads on the bar during competition." I'm not sure why I find this hysterical, but I do.
