I wrote a poem in college today and it’s weird but kind of interesting and all the guidance we had was to call it “hey, you” so this is what happened if you’re curious.

Everyone has something.

Hey, you –

The voices echo around you                              the buzz of an insect                              past your ear on a hot                              summer day.

The voices come from your past.                              They are your past.

The voices come from your future,                              your future incarnate,                              standing over you,                              daring you to challenge                              its ultimate authority.
