"We Belonged" is the lead song from Stoney's new album "More Than Animals", released on January 14, 2014 and produced by Mark Stoney, C.J Eiriksson (U2, Blue October) and Warren Huart (Aerosmith, The Thrills, Hot hot heat).

Mark Stoney is a singer-songwriter and multiinstrumentalist from Sheffield, UK and based in Austin, TX. Key figure of what NME labelled as the "New Yorkshire Movement", Stoney has played at important festivals as SXSW, Glastonbury, or Leeds/Reading, and toured/played with Arctic Monkeys, Reverend & The Makers or Laura Marling.

I listen to music when I‘m happy. I listen to music when I‘m sad. I listen to music to feel and to connect. In the aftermath of a dear friend‘s death, it‘s no surprise that I find solace in music. Been listening lately to this new indie rock playlist and this song “We Belonged“ from British artist, Stoney comes on and I‘m reminded again of my friend, Nino and how he‘s happy now with the Lord and how everything‘s gonna be fine in the end.

British singer/songwriter Stoney has settled into living a life of country charm in Austin, Texas, and thus releasing a rich, well-crafted EP entitled More Than Animals. It is definitely touched with a dash of country charm, but don't let the video above fool you- Stoney maintains a Brit-rock edge that is electric and underrepresented in this day and age.
