anons keep trying to explain you how things work in Japan because when you're on tumblr everyone seem to think that everywhere around the world everything is working the same way it works in America, which is not, and foreigners take their time and are trying to explain it to you and in return you are bitching about it. seriously? maybe they're not foreigners, idk, but i think writing hcs/fics in proper cultural context is better than not. it's also SO MUCH EASIER to google stuff in english
Literally all of us know how things work in Japan so this is irrelevant as fuck. Neither were we bitching, but now I will bitch, since you clearly want it so badly to extrapolate “bitching” from a joke statement like the one tornado made.
Look, I consider myself someone who hcs and writes based on proper cultural context. I prefer to write accurately and concisely with what I know, and I take pride in that. I’m not going around irl and preaching this. I understand how other places work. I have an international education that emphasizes cultural, social, and ethical knowledge. Who even said that I was American? No fucking one, that’s who. Who even said that anon was not American (assuming that’s what you meant by “foreigner” which in itself is a subjective term)? No fucking one, that’s who. I Don’t headcanon outside of what’s realistically possible, but that’s me. I do me. Even though I live for education and strive for precision and accuracy in every way, I don’t tell other people what and what not to headcanon. It’s not my place to do that, so I’m not going to rip apart their headcanon for inaccuracy because guess what? It doesn’t matter. It’s fictional. Anyone can headcanon anything they want, and that’s them doing them. And I have no place telling them not to. We run a blog where all headcanons are accepted respectfully, and I do not tolerate disrespect of another person’s headcanon or story. It’s childish and rude. It’s possible to headcanon something fictional while still observing and upholding respect for the real culture in which the headcanon exists. Since I’m a respectful person, I don’t trash other people’s headcanons.
Additionally, you wanna know what tumblr users don’t know? They don’t know how to be goddamn respectful. In the real world, if you’re pushing an agenda, you have to be respectful about it for people to take you seriously. You can’t stand up on your perceived moral high ground and sneer down your nose at people in the real world and expect them to respect you. If you use a condescending attitude with me, you bet your ass I’m going to give you an attitude back. Now for clarification, that original anon wasn’t being rude but you damn sure are, so maybe if you’d have stepped off your moral high horse for 5 damn minutes and approached us respectfully, I’d be taking you more seriously. But you wanna come up in here takin up all the space with your big goddamn ego; you might as well be demanding to speak to my manager. I want everyone who comes to this blog to have a positive experience, but I will not tolerate the disrespect you’ve given us. I want everyone’s headcanon to be respected. If you don’t like that, please feel free to unfollow and get the fuck off our blog.
