"So, what I'm hearing is that you're trying to act tough about it, right? It might work on someone else, but not me."
Or, someone who just didn't give a shit, to surmise it rather bluntly. Frankly, Shinobu hadn't known why the young woman was in such a state, but what did she have to lose by simply sticking around for a moment or two. It wasn't as if Shinobu had anyone to answer to, otherwise, and the night was promising to be more frigid than usual considering the impending turning of the seasons within weeks.
Seating herself next to the other, the kunoichi sighed.
"If anyone asks, we got into an argument. That's a way of saving face, right?"
@luckuki from here.
Wow!! rude! so what if she was completely nail-on-the-head accurate— just because she’s right doesn’t mean she has to say it!
Honey sniffs for emphasis, big crocodile tears pooling at the corners of her eyes while trying to think of a good response after being so concisely called out; but she doesn’t get the chance to cook up something petty and indignant before the no-nonsense ninja lady already went on... trying to help her. oh. huh.
cue another, less pathetic sniffle, as the blonde straightens out a tiny bit.
❝ ...mmm... I guess so... but you shouldn’t look like a meanie just because I’m having a meltdown. ❞ it seems a little bit of good-natured attention was all the fairy needed, anyways— delicately going about skimming her tears away as she speaks.
❝ no, might as well just be, like, honest about it: I haven’t been to the city since I was little— ❞ ...and always with her dad, making sure she didn’t scamper off the moment they hit Hanamizaka. ah, Narukami always had the most wonderful festivals back then... ❝ –and it’s, uhm... different. I got a bit overwhelmed. ❞
❝ but, that’s whatever. you shouldn’t put yourself out just ‘cuz I’m a crybaby. ❞
I started watching ATLA again and I was just struck by the fact that Iroh is literally a Fire Nation General. He’s been in the thick of the war and knows very well how to fight so technically he could have whooped the Gaang’s ass a million times over if he wanted to he just never did because he’s a respectable man with good morals!! Also look me in the eye and tell me that Iroh would beat up a couple of kids. Come on. You know he wouldn’t. But he is fully capable of handing their asses to them on a platter and we all know it

Do you think Connie is the real hero of Steven universe? Because she was the one who saved him from the darkness (even tho the darkness is still there), and when Connie saw Steven’s “cry for help” he gave his warning to her. What do you think?
(I’ve seen you in a couple of places now, anon, you sneaky slick-)
me, through gritted teeth after a p.oldark actor says they didn’t really read the books: yes. i can tell.
“playing brienne of tarth has truly been an honor and i am beyond grateful for this nomination. this character has changed my life and redefined the way i look at the world, women and particularly myself. thank you to george r.r. martin, david benioff and d.b. weiss, carolyn strauss, hbo and our incredible cast and crew. lastly, apologies to my taxi driver who endured my screams, sobs and pure joy when getting this incredible news!” – gwendoline christie
