Wow okay a lot of photos and here comes the story.

5 years ago I met this boy on tumblr right? Only fair tumblr gets a one year anniversary post (which should’ve been done on the 15th but here you go).

Anyway, 5 years ago I met this boy on tumblr. He became a safe place. A quiet conversation at night. Comforting words. After talking we’d planned to meet when he came all the way to America from England to go to Disney world in 2014. That didn’t work out. We lost touch for a bit but got back in contact a little over 2 years ago when we started skyping every. Single. Day. Couldn’t stand being away from each other. We made a “hypothetical” plan for me to visit him that summer, which became a reality very quickly. He asked me to be his a month before. So I made the trek to London after 3 months of planning for the most amazing 3 weeks of my life. I missed my second flight of the day, the airline lost my luggage, and I was on my own in a new country with no phone service confused to HECK. And then I had done it. I walked through the airport doors and saw this beautiful boy with a huge smile and a little bouquet of flowers. I’d met my soul mate. We were 18 and 19 alone in London for 3 weeks as strangers but I was more comfortable with him than anyone else I’d known my whole life. He is truly a blessing to my life. He has shown me what true love and dedication is. Unconditional patience and understanding. He is thoughtful and smart and kind and he has been so strong and I couldn’t have done this with anyone else but him. This past year has also been the hardest of my life. A 4,500 mile long distance relationship has its hardships. But we’ve done it! I go back to visit my boy next month and then he’ll be coming to stay. No more separation. No more sleepless nights or loneliness. Just a lifetime of love. Kindness. Hope. Laughter.

So in just over a week i’ll be on my way back to England to stay with Alex for two months. That will mean our stressful and lonely three months of separation will be over and we can focus on us for a while. 

Although we’ve known each other for 4 years, our 6 month anniversary as “us” was two days ago and we’ll have our first New Years Eve and Valentines Day together while i’m there, so our timing is working out pretty well. 

Alex, I know how difficult it’s been over the last few weeks. You’re doing so well with handling all that has gone on and i’m so proud of you. I’m almost there and this is almost over. No more empty beds and sad skype sessions. I love you immensely and that will never change. I hope you’re sleeping well.

I can wait for nights when we go out on dates and get all dressed up and you still sit next to me at dinner and we talk about us and what we think our future will be like. And the nights we go out to clubs and we're carefree and dancing and we kiss in front of everyone and stumble home a little bit drunk and laughing and falling over each other and we're in love.

I hope one day you find a love that takes over your life in the best way possible and makes you want to live as long as possible so you get to see your person for another day and you go on roadtrips and camping and bake together and take baths with lots of bubbles and you find yourself smiling all the time

There are some days and situations that come up in a long distance relationship that can only be properly dealt with by being together. Most of the time it's when things get emotional, more than usual or for a different reason, and you just want your persons hand to hold.

Not only is it hard needing it, but it's hard when you feel like you can't really do anything to make the other feel better. Alex (@we-ajc) has been away for about a week now and with that we've barely talked. Not because we don't want to, but because our time difference makes it really difficult.

I get to England on the 26th or 27th of this month and still haven't bought a plane ticket due to other situations happening that require me to spend money that I need for it which is stressing us both out. As the time gets closer to being back together, time feel slower and it feels like a lot of things go wrong. But we're working on it.

My darling, I am so ready to be with you for those two months. You have no idea. Everything will work out just the way it's supposed to and I will be there to hold you soon.

I adore you more than anything.
