Siam: My tentacle is my gem weapon. I summon it when needed (which is more often than not). I’m an imperfect gem, so my tentacle being my weapon is completely an accident. It’s my tentacle that got me banished from Homeworld in the first place. I sure hope none of my gemlings inherit this from me, but they’re far too young to be able to know.

Day 2: Weapon Summon

God, I wish I could draw! Then I could properly show off how exactly Onyx summons his weapon and what the weapon looks like. Oh well, I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

As I explained before, Onyx’s weapon is a sword, double-edged for maximum punishment. The exact size, despite what I said, is not something I’m certain about. I think it is tall enough to be about half his height, how tall Onyx is being the problem. The only other details are the hollow circle large enough for his hand and arm to fit through and the purple rectangular gem embedded in the blade. He mostly uses the hollow circle for spinning the blade at incredible speed around his wrist, creating a catch-all shield for deflecting energy-based attacks. The gem is a peculiar oddity: it doesn’t power the sword, it doesn’t give the weapon any abilities outside of what Onyx can do to it, it doesn’t even make it look any more threatening. Only Onyx knows why it’s there and what it’s for.

How he summons the weapon is also odd. Instead of pulling it out from his gem on the back of his right hand, he pulls it out in front of him from some invisible sheathe in his left hand. It’s a very bizarre action for a very bizarre Gem.

2. Weapon Summon: What’s their weapon? How do they summon it?

BB’s cape isn’t exactly a weapon but it is a perfect camouflage cloth. When it’s outer layer is hit by light, it becomes invisible. In the shadows, it doesn’t exactly have such effect but could camouflage well with the surroundings, even if easier to spot than when out on the open space covered in light.

She just has to hide herself well under that hood which is easy because it’s big enough to cover 2 people at once (of hugged really close that is)~

Onyx conjures his shields through focus, and while he may seem wild and scatter-brained on the surface, his energy and enthusiasm can easily be channeled toward a single goal when its needed, and in a fight, a little impact helps him direct his mind to the task at hand.
