I need to rant about this entire James Gunn thing:

Y'all are so triggered over the guardians cast and calling them terrible things because they are defending James Gunn. So here is the thing, ACTUAL pedophiles and sexually harassing big stars were outed in Hollywood and many people went against them including their costars.

Joking about pedophilia doesn't make James a pedophile, it just makes him a person with a terrible sense or humour. Also they were TEN YEARS AGO. You aren't even the same as you were a year ago, people change and evolve and judging someone for unforgivable things they said a decade ago is just a big no. And he actually came out by himself and apologized for his previous behavior when nobody called him out for it so why are you all reacting now.

I am 100% against pedophilia or sexual harassment, I lost every last bit of respect for Melanie Martinez when the entire 'her raping her friend' thing came out. But with James Gunn I just cringed because they were really, really bad jokes.

I have a friend who makes kinda racist and offensive jokes and I actually get offended sometimes by them, but if someone acted in a racist manner towards someone in front of her she would call them out for it and drag their asses and she is actually the nicest person I know to everyone around her. Having a dark, weird, terrible sense of humour doesn't make you genuinly a bad person.

So all of you attacking every single member of the cast for supporting him is just rude. An entire fucking cast is against that decision and they say that he is a good person, and it might cost them their jobs since they are basically going against the company decision, and then you come saying:

"James Gunn is a pedophile rapist and the entire cast of GOTG are too because they support him. Unfollowed and disappointed, you all are terrible people"

Like.. they are people who have worked with him and known him for years, meanwhile all you know about him is things you heard from the media so who are you to judge them and be rude to them like that?

I understand the anger towards James but now I am going through the instagram comments and there is so much anger for the cast its just like... what?

So no, the cast isn't terrible.They wouldn't go against the company they are hired for and post a statement like that knowing that it will anger their fans and cost them a lot if James Gunn wasn't a good person and that entire firing him thing is BS.

Also, lets be honest gotg 3 is pretty much screwed without him, he is so passionate about what he does and I say he should be given a second chance. Plus there are a lot of actual pedophiles in disney and they know about it
