I'm in such an emotionally fragile, physically/mentally exhausted state right now that I'm not listening to music as I catch up on tumblr stuff because I'm a little worried I'll just start crying no matter what song comes on. {I just got back from a week of being away at Camp Hope, a church youth mission camp sortof thing that saved my life a few years back and is my favourite place in the world, so I'm still working on dealing with leaving my paradise 3}

to be honest I don't know who my first ever follower was... although now I'm curious, and as I really just have time to kill today I think I'll go try to figure it out. *opens new tab and followers list*

It appears my first follower was actually wearemostaliveindreams, the first writing account I ever found myself completely smitten with. It's still such a huge honour to know that he's not only following me but occasionally reads my writing, because he's really just an awesome person and an incredible writer. :)

A Note For March...

I'll be working to complete a few collabs I had promised to get to for some time now. I've lagged behind which is why I usually don't like to schedule too many at once. There are three in total. One will be the second installment of my {Poetic Episodes} series & I'll be working with Todd, whom I've I worked with before and has been one of my favorite reads ever since I started this blog. I'm also excited to work with Noelle & Dean on two separate collabs as well, as they are 2 great writers that I respect a lot and enjoy reading.  

As always, I deeply appreciate & am humbled by the support this blog has garnered. I will do all that I can to continue to make this a place that helps inspire & spreads the profound words of writers. Thank you.

As an aside, I've had some messages inquiring about my views on our TWC & the editor process. I actually did reach out to become an editor after nearly three years here back in September and basically received no response about my inquiry. I no longer want to be an editor. I had been conflicted with the thought of it for awhile and now have soured on the prospect pretty much completely. However, that being said, I will say that we should have a chance to suggest or nominate people who will represent our TWC the correct way. I truly feel that people such as Noelle, Kevin & the other Mike (he's the "other", I was here first) have worked hard to promote poetry in an unbiased fashion.

 Just some notes & thoughts. Stay well & stay profound.

Agreed. But maybe watching the debate would cause people to become more informed, on their own, on what the candidates are actually talking about. Yes? No?

I would hope so. I just resent the fact that candidates can say literally whatever they want in these debates without being met with the harsh reality of, well, reality. The reading of analytical literature is much more effective in producing an informed citizenry, but sadly, reading comprehension is not really on the list of priorities in our education system or in America in general.I could go on and on...it's complicated stuff.

Clinging time clocks 

speak loud and 

this crowd is 

nothing, but 

beating Summer. 

All teeth and half- 

open mouths, 

because She 

is a stunner, 

letting index fingers 

eat Windsor knots.

She grasps a hold

of the memory I longed for,

and threw it out

into the crowd,

along with my sense

of well being and comfort.

Tugging my sleeves,

pleading for relief

of her own selfish burdens,

begging for an outlet

that can only hurt 

but not physically kill.

The warm sun

left streaks against her

bare russet collarbone

as she inched closer,

the smell of perfume

and the taste

of lust and beauty

lingering on her lips.

The clock screams at noon

but the 'cuckoo'

is in another dimension

as the cross between

want and need

becomes dangerous.
