Another discovery from the past... I found these old Italian puppet/toys when cleaning out an armoire at our family home in #Firenze this summer. I think they were toys from my mother in law’s estate- I’d say they are about 85 years old (?) and obviously very much utilized by the five BZ daughters. I love them for their #creepydoll #decrepid charm- made of some sort of paste/plaster with scraps of fragile cloth as costumes. (And Obviously not politically correct stereotyped characters ) from a different world, I’d say. All are quite worn down, but some are so worn that they are barely recognizable as #figurines... I’m guessing they are worth nothing but the memories of the past, and I don’t care one bit! I love their #weatheredbeauty and #rusticitalian charm. I can imagine my (RIP) mother in law and her four sisters, playing together with these little toys, and later, my husband using them as props in his playtime.
