I have always collected my yarn scraps, usually in whatever project basket I am working with & then at the end of the piece I would add it to my jar. Not this year. I am keeping my jar next to me at all time. It’s fun to look down and see how the jar is progressing. Scroll right to see 2019 scraps. Now I just need to learn how to spin scrap yarn! And if you are wondering that is a 2 gallon bag! #yarnscraps #scrapyarn #weavingprocess #fiberartist #katiebolanddesign https://www.instagram.com/p/B7lwzqknDwA/?igshid=flh6amhez3ju

Steps 3 and 4 of the weaving process. Putting threads through the heddles, (which are under the large wooden section in the center of my weaving ). Then weaving :) We use toilet paper here to start, so that the threads are spaced evenly before we begin actual weaving. You can see it hanging off the sides of my piece #midtermproject #artstudent #ccatextiles #weavingprocess #artschoolproject
Step 2 in the weaving process. Slaying the reed, (the piece with all the little mettle slots that the threads are going through ) #workingonmymidterm #ccatextiles #artstudentlife #weavingprocess
