Pictures from the Dia de los Muertos festival at fruitvale last Sunday. I got off the bart on my way home from church and ran into all of this. Steps 3 and 4 of the weaving process. Putting threads through the heddles, (which are under the large wooden section in the center of my weaving ). Then weaving :) We use toilet paper here to start, so that the threads are spaced evenly before we begin actual weaving.
