In case anyone is wondering (I've seen a whole batch of delightful theorising comments lately!) "saffron" isn't a euphemism for a science fiction drug - it's literally saffron, the spice. The significance of that may emerge at some point. (Also the protagonist of a fun comic.)
Panel 3 was, ultimately, written in the shadow of the greatest "you go ahead and handle that for me" in history.
page 3.13 out either tonight or tomorrow depending on when I'm happy with it!

Thank you @webcomiclibrary for mentioning us in their Lesbian Visibility Day Post! They’re a really great place to find awesome stories and it means so much to get their support. We are not worthy <3 <3Â
NEW PROJECT ALERT! For the past year I've been working on this in the background and I'm so happy to finally share it with you all! The Travelogue is a new place to learn about comics near and far. Come along with us as we explore the vast expanse of stories the community has to offer!
The big highlight of the Travelogue is the tag system we built to help you find new comics! We've been able to work with a number of groups to help give a broad variety of stories to explore!
For more curated selection we already started making Collections. If you liked the early days of the Webcomic Library when masterposts were more common this will be an excellent tool for you!
Thanks to a number of lovely volunteers we have reviews and articles waiting for you that will help you learn more about the stories we host and more about what resources the webcomic community has to offer!
How do I support this project?
The biggest thing right now is letting folks know about it! Reblog this post, share it with your friends, use the site to find new comics! We do have ads enabled so just by looking around you're financially supporting this project. If you want to chuck a bit of money directly our way to help keep the site up and running and support the team running it, you can donate via Ko-Fi. We have a submission section for creators who want to contribute to the collection we have so far. You can also submit reviews by reaching out to us at [email protected].
A big thank you to all the folks to have come together to help make this possible, including Krispy ( @feathernotes) and Luckbat! This really is a group effort that really shows what can be accomplished when folks work together. I'm delighted to have an new opportunity to collaborate with others and tell yall about new stories!
I recently decided to reorganize the way I follow my webcomics (rss reader + mobile browser) and learned that I follow (as in, actively reading and keeping up with 47 webcomics
Which sounded like a lot
So I decided to count how many I follow on webtoon and I follow 40 webcomics there
And it was then I realized I might be webcomics georg
Lmao yeah that's really how it goes! Webcomics are found across so many platforms it once you begin consolidating everything you realize how much you read and what you have yet to explore. At least part of the reason why I started The Webcomic Library was to keep track of all my comics and the thing is I didn't realize RSS was a thing until like a year in? By that point I already had +200 comics and now.... uh... I keep track of more than that.
Nice thing about webtoon is that it also has a RSS option, though that sometimes causes me to forget to actually subscribe to it on my account. That might not be a bad thing considering the constant backlog of update notifications I get.
For other folks who'd also be interested in learning about what RSS feeds are and now to use them, I recommend @jeypawlik's comic and Panel on the subject! I consider it essential if you enjoy the medium and don't want to be restricted to one platform for your reading pleasure.
2025 with the Webcomic Library!
Hello, my good peeps! We have made it another year around the globe and with that were able to explore plenty of comics together. I'm glad to have you here and to still be around to share this experience with yall. Admittedly this hasn't been my best year running the project to date. I've had a lot of irl stuff going on the background, much of it medical related, that has been taking a lot of my limited energy. There's a few things in the works for 2026 that will hopefully help, but I can't promise more consistency with so much uncertainty. That being said what I have accomplished is nothing to scoff at! This year over 150 series have been added to the Webcomic Library database. Many of these were series made for print or download, which was a section of our scope that I wanted to explore more of. This let me explore Itch.io offerings and the chance to play with Caliber for the organization of my digital hoard. I've also gotten back into exploring my local library and the Tapas premium collections for stories to share. Even if you don't have the pockets to financially support folks directly, we still got to bring in plenty of free to read works, including 46 submissions directly from creators!
I've been pretty pleased with my consistency on social media this year. I've had at minimum 3 new short comics posted on Tumblr everyday with a strong queue to keep the train going. On Bluesky I've also been making the effort to tell folks what I've been reading every Wednesday. Sometimes it's an old database entry I've read from the beginning, other times it's a sneak peak for something yet to come. Regardless it's something fun to show I'm still kicking around!
At the beginning of the year I opened up a side database project, The Webcomic Travelogue, with a few of my webcomic peeps. Together we've catalogued 1,095 series from across the web, with articles, reviews, and plenty more ready to explore! Working on the WCL alone for so long it's a nice change of pace and I'm looking forward to doing more. In terms of statistics we got: - Over 6.52 Million views on the Webcomic Library Database - 2,044 followers on Tumblr - Over 3.1 Thousand followers on Bluesky
Knowing that even when I'm away this project is helping folks find stories and they want to join in this projects journey means the absolute world to me.
As for what my plans are for 2026... we're gonna be playing things by ear a bit. There's a couple of things I wanted to get done before the Webcomic Library's 10 year anniversary next November but these are things I wanna make sure I can really put in the time and energy to do it right. There's a good backlog of submissions patiently waiting to be added to the database as well as some personally read comics that I've been holding back on. The database could always use more entry inventories and updates. There's the ever present webcomic update backlog that I need to whittle down to eternity. I've also got the social medias and the Travelogue to add onto. With the Library I always have something to work on, which is a blessing and chosen curse. Just know whatever I accomplish it's done with love and the sincere intention to share stories I love with yall.
Thank yall for making it through another year. It's not easy but I'm grateful every day that we get to spend these moments together enjoying comics, even apart in time and space. Be kind to yourselves in 2026 and may you find a story that resonates with you.
