Another Check Off the Ol’ Bucket List || Webvee
Vee had attended secondary school too many times to count in almost three centuries and had never once gotten a detention. But here she was, settling in for an hour of detention after having helped orchestrate an elaborate plot to land herself and Webby there.
She supposed there were worse ways to make a friend. And, honestly, she couldn’t remember having ever had that much fun in her entire existence. Students and teachers alike had laughed at the state of the school mascot when they had completed phase 1 of their plan---once the smoke from the magical explosion they’d released had cleared---and she suspected they were only paying the consequences due to a technicality, which was exactly what Vee had been hoping for.
Unfortunately, she wasn’t sure Ms. Smythe, the after school study hall monitor, had a sense of humor. Phase 2 was probably going to be a bit more tricky.
But they had come too far to quit now!
Vee pulled out her notebook and tore out a sheet of paper, scribbling a quick note for Webby.
Are you excited to finally knock out another item from your bucket list?
Folding up the note quietly, she glanced at the front of the room. Once Ms. Smyth was bent over some paperwork or another, Vee quietly got Webby’s attention and passed the note over to her friend with a grin.
