âPip! Over here!âÂ
Trivia question: what do you do when all your chorus friends are having an extra practice with Mrs. Darbus on a unit song youâre not involved in, and your other best friends have decided to start snogging each other in swim trunks in public without telling you, despite the fact that one of those best friendsâ i.e. Tony Rydinger, who you just so happen to have a crush onâ is ostensibly straight, even though youâve been flirting with him for over a year with no indication from him to think otherwise, and now said best-friends-turned-traitors have just waved you over for thirty minutes of lunchtime-themed torture?Â
This was the situation Pip was faced with on Monday when he entered the caf. Heâll spare you the details of his less than graceful exit from the Polar Bear Plunge over the weekend after witnessing the kiss from afar, or how heâd half-convinced himself it was a nightmare inflicted on himself out of self-loathing. It mattered little now, because there was Tony and Wilbur, smiling their large, handsome, double-crossing, Judas-faced smiles.Â
A sudden onslaught of tears flooded his eyes. He made a hard left turn and sat down in the first available seat he could find.Â
âHi!â Pip exclaimed Too Loudly to his brand new Lunchtime Buddies â˘. âWhatâs up, gang?âÂ
Webby was at Hatterâs reading a book, the spine standing perched on the table and her features completed submersed in the text. It was a book about the ancient worlds and so obviously the blonde was very enthralled by it.
And yes, she could have read this same book at in her room at Mr. Seamusâs place, but she has been cooped up in her grannyâs place basically her entire life. Webby just wanted to take make sure she took advantage of the open air and all the different places while she was back in Swynlake.Â
Completely lost in her book, there was a lag response to the sudden appearance of a boy taking a seat across from her and saying hi. Eventually, Webby did notice the presence her line of vision perching over her book with owlish blinking eyes to take in the stranger.Â
A new stranger FRIEND, maybe?!?!
The blonde placed the book down and smiled bright. âHi!â Webby was about to follow with her name you know to introduce herself as she always does, but she paused, her head tilting to a slight angle as she noticed the rim of tears on the boyâs eyes.Â
âAre you okay?âÂ

A Stranger In The House || Weblann
âSausage McCopyright Infringement with egg coming right up!â Lachlann announced, almost singing his words as he stepped back, into the fridge and searched for some actual sausages to add to his just-vaguely similar dish âLike, I was just askinâ âcause everyoneâs diet âs different, like, one of my exes couldnât eat anything pork-related which was a total bummer and thereâs also people that prefer to avoid anything animal-related and thatâs totally cool but the Sausage McCopyright Infringement with egg isnât vegan friendly and, yeahâ
Ok, now he was rambling, but that was a good sign since that meant he felt comfortable enough with the little interloperâs presence as he cut the sausages in half, then added them to the pan and flipped the egg-disc heâd previously prepared (because he didnât want to serve Webby something extra-crispy).
And the girl (teen?) seemed pretty comfortable too, since she had taken a seat and was looking at the (former) pilot as he moved around -she seemed as familiar (if not more) with the place as he was and that was a curious thought to have, since Mister Mac T hadnât mentioned having a niece before (but, then again, Mister Mac T didnât talk a whole lot about his past, so that kind of made sense. Kind of).
Lachlann looked back and laughed as the sausages sizzled in the pan, making a quick mental note about all the questions the other had, then nodded as he tried his best to answer them all.
âIâm a pilot! My family âs full of pilots and we have thematically appropiate nicknames, 'sides, not everyone can pronounce 'Lachlannâ correctly and 'Launchpadâ âs way easierâ the milleage varied when people tried to say his name -some pronounced the âchâ as it was, some went for the âghâ approach that was closer to the wordâs gaelic roots, some elongated the last ânâs, some didnât -âLaunchpadâ was way easier to say âYerp, I have! Sheâs my little sis and her name âs Louise but we call her âLoopyâ, sheâs super super smartâ
He paused, blinked, then laughed a 'eeeew, thatâs super cool!â at the mention of having webbed fingers, then carried on.
âI know the basics of a couple of 'em. Languages, I mean, but I wouldnât say I actually, like, know 'emâ he shrugged, then returned his attention to the pan, flipping the sausage pieces with a flick of his wrist âand, eh, what was the last question, again? Oh, right, about Mister Mac T! I was Fast and Furiousing away from some magic black dog thingies and crashed into his fence, then he appeared, shooed the things away and patched me up. He âs a super cool guyâ
(Which was an understatement, really).
âWhat 'bout you, Webby? Where are you from? Are you actually related to him? Can you speak a whole lot of languages? Would you rather sweat mayo or have fingers made of sausages?â
He was asking real important questions.
âYouâre a PILOT?!?!?!â
Okay, so Webby was very well aware that she had received a lot of important information from Launchpad just now that she will be neatly compartmentalizing in her brain, BUT him being a pilot had been the first piece of information to stick out like blazing excitingly bright neon lights in her mind.Â
Webby had all but shot up on her chair perched on her knees now as her features lit up like a tree in Christmas.Â
âI want to be a PILOT!!!!â
It was what Webby has always wanted to be ever since she learned of the world around her. She wanted to be able to see it ALL, travel the world and experience everything this life had to offer her, so naturally she had to get so overly excited about Launchpad being a pilot.Â
âI want to travel the WORLD!!! And what better way to do that than flying!!â Go big or go home right?! âWhen did you learn how to fly a plane?! Where have you been?! Is it great?! Where was your first flight?! How old were you!?!?âÂ
WAITâWebby just remembered that Launchpad had asked her some questions as well and so, the blonde sat down again just as before, criss cross apple sauce and began to recall everything asked of her.Â
It was only the fair thing to do because she wasnât near done with all the questions she wanted to ask him.
âOkay so, Iâm from London and I can speak a bunch of different languages!!!!!â Among many things that Webby has taken a fascination in most of her life, languages was one of them. âThe romance languages, Hebrew, Greek, Russian and Arabic.â Look, Webby was kept home for most of her life, she had a lot of time in her hands.Â
âBUT I can read more. I can read ancient Greek, Aramaic, Hieroglyphics, Latin and Sanskrit on top of the languages I speak. I LOVE ancient languages and have made sure to prepare myself for when I get my hands on an ANCIENT CURSE!!!! I want to be able to translate it properly. Fingers made of sausages because that would be so COOL and yes, I really am related to Uncle Seamus.â
Normally, Webby was a horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE liar, BUT she was able to answer the Seamus question very smoothly because technically she was legally related to Mr. Seamus. He was her legal guardian, had the paper work and everything.
âWAITâyou were chased by BLACK MAGIC DOGS?!?! WHEN?!?! And what BLACK MAGIC DOGS?!?!â Webby really, really, really hoped that they were cursed related!!Â

Guess Whoâs Back?!! || Ancient History
@hiimwebby-vanderwaalâ
When Webby pulled away from him, Seamus took the chance to really look her over.Â
Even bouncing around and keeping to her generally sunny (and sugar rush fiend-like) disposition, Seamus still wanted to do a visual check of the girl, make sure there wasnât anything amiss, a hair out of place. Partially because Bentina would murder him in his sleep and string his balls up as a necklace, but also because he was genuinely worried about what the reason behind her sudden appearance may have been.Â
Well, at least until he heard the magic word.Â
S.H.U.S.H.Â
Nodding his head at her words, Seamus couldnât help the small chuckle that escaped when she did a little twirl at the end of her rapid-fire explanation. âWell, âs a lovely outfit, lassie. Can see why ye picked it, but yer gonna need more âen just that, ainâtcha?â They could deal with that momentarily. For now, however: âCome sit at thâ table, Webby, darlinâ. Didja fly âere? Drive? Train from London?âÂ
A thousand different scenarios and a thousand different arrivals flashed through his head before Seamus caught himself and stepped back, running a hand through his hair as he sighed, partially to get himself to stop and, also, so he could call over his shoulder into the back of the house. Lachlann would be wondering who he was talking to, he was sure. He would have to introduce them later if the other man was around. (He usually was these days, so it was likely).Â
âYe want anythinâ tah eat? Drink? Yer old roomâs still open, so ye can take a nap if ye needââÂ
Webby stepped into the house following Mr. Seamus closely as she took care to soak in the details of her surroundings. The place didnât look that different from when she had last been here two years ago and that fact oddly enough, brought Webby comfort.Â
âThe train.â She answered. âIt was a fun ride! And I bought myself a huge chocolate bar from someone who was selling candy. Iâm sure granny wouldnât have approved BUT it was a really good chocolate bar!âÂ
The blonde had no regrets whatsoever.Â
Webby would have continued on but the mention of her old room made her thoughts all disappear like a puff of wind.Â
âMy old room is still HERE?!?!âÂ
Her old room was still here!!! Mr. Seamus really hadnât forgotten about her after all! The thought made her do a quick bounce on her feet, a super bright smile now glowing on her features.Â
âYou really didnât forget about me, Mr. Seamus.â Webby stole herself another hug for good measure before she went ahead and flounced on over to a different topic. âAnd I wouldnât mind having something to eat. It was a big chocolate bar and it was good but it really wasnât all that filling.âÂ
Which completely boggled Webbyâs mind as she made a pout face on her features to show for it.Â
âItâs upsetting, how do you make a big chocolate bar and yet donât make it filling enough?! For that donât make the chocolate bar so big because itâs just deceiving people! Thatâs really mean and very rude. Mr. Seamus, why is the house half-wrecked?âÂ

Phineas grinned, feeling pretty proud of himself for helping out the new kid. Swynlake Secondary could be a pretty scary place if you were new, and even if you had someone to show you around, it was still intimidating.Â
And then Webby mentioned that she had seen Ms. Smythe beforeâ wait, what?
He picked a table by the window and put his tray down. âOh, did you go here before?â Phineas asked. That would make sense. People showed up in Swynlake and left and came back all the time. But he had just assumed that Webby was totally new. Either way, she was being chill about Phineas misunderstanding, and he appreciated that.Â
.
Webby happily followed Phineas to a table by the window as she nodded her head to his question. Placing her tray down she took a seat, sitting criss-cross applesauce. She was always the most comfortable in that seating position.Â
âI lived in town two years ago.â
Webby didnât go into the specifics of why she had moved, left, and then returned all of a sudden two years later. It wasnât like she could tell the truth for the reason anyways and if she wasnât telling the truth then she was lying and Webby was an absolute horrible liar!
âAnd back then I had gotten detention as a part of my bucket list.âÂ
Yes, getting detention had been a goal of Webbyâs, but look she never had it before! And coming from a girl who had been homeschooled her ENTIRE life she wanted to get the experience!Â
âMs. Smythe was the instructor and I kind of got the rest of the students into a panic so that Ms. Smythe could step out of the classroom. Once she did, I locked her out and escaped detention by doing a summersault out the window!âÂ
She had a blast that day! And also got into so much trouble too. âI donât think sheâs planning on ever forgiving me for that... but, I got to cross it out of my bucket list!!â

A Stranger In The House || Weblann
Mister Mac Tâs fridge was always full. Always.
And that was a blessing for Lachlann, since his fridge at Benbow was almost perpetually empty -now, it wasnât like his salary as an Uber driver or his savings werenât enough for him to just go and buy some decent food and keep it on the fridge to prepare something later, it was just thatâŚ
Well, it felt kind of unnecesary, really; He still had some mixed emotions about the apartment and his (almost magically forced) stay on Swynlake, so having food on a fridge that he didnât identify as his, on a place he liked to think heâd be able to leave sooner or later (âlaterâ being more likely than 'soonâ) felt some kind of compromise he wasnât ready to take-
-and Mister Mac T had the good stuff at his place. And it was free. So eating there was the best option on the (former) pilotâs mind.
âActually, âs more of a freestyle version of the Egg McMuffinâ he replied, eyes still on the pan, before he even realized that an unfamiliar voice had just called.
Waiiiiit a second.
âThe- wha-when? where?âŚbuh?â he said (or tried to say, really) as he looked back and found a little blonde stranger practically vibrating in excitement at the edge of the kitchen, a few centimeters away from where Maeve liked to lay to watch him cook or watch her owner have his daily caffeine dose.Â
The tiny stranger got a couple of step closer and Lachlann blinked one, two, three times before he finally managed to process (part of) her words: Hamburger. Webby. Trouble. Uncle Seamus.
Uncle Seamus?!
âI-â he tried once more, before those last words finally clicked: Uncle Seamus. And he smiled once things were a little bit clearer (just a little bit, since he still had a lot of questions about this) â-well, âs more likeâŚa muffin or a bagel and all-around attempt to not get sued but I think itâs pretty good, but, like, we could always add some meat to upgrade it to a Sausage McCopyright Infringement with egg! You hungry?? I could make an extra, I mean, this one âs almost done and- eh- Iâm Lachlann-
He paused, figuring a teen wouldnât be interested in even trying to learn or pronounce his very particular name. So he tried with his nickname.
â-âLaunchpadâ, by the by and- wait, you arenât allergic to anything, right? like, can you have gluten, little interloper?â
He was a man of priorities.
âNope.â Webby answered allowing the âpâ to pop. Â
âSo, hit me with a sausage McCopyright Infringement with egg! Iâve never had one before!âÂ
Webby was always one for trying something new, no matter what it was really. After living most of her life safely tucked away and protected by her granny, the blonde took advantage of anything and everything the outside world had to offer.Â
Stepping further into the kitchen now, Webby pulled up a seat and placed herself right next to Mr. Launchpad, sitting criss-cross applesauce. She noticed how familiar the man was with the kitchen. He knew exactly where everything was without even thinking about it, which meant that he frequented here often and therefore through logical deduction, he had to be close friends with Mr. Seamus!!
This meant that Webby had to learn all she possibly could about the new stranger friend!! She had learned all that she could about Heuy, Dewy and Louie before even meeting them, so this was simply standard practice for the blonde.
Espionage 101 like her granny always told her!
âHow did you get the nickname, Launchpad? My parents gave me mine. I had skin in between my fingers when I was baby that took forever to recede so my hands looked like webbed fish hands!! And thatâs where Webby came from! Did your parents give you yours? Do you have siblings? Can you speak a different language? How did you meet Uncle Seamus?!âÂ
A Stranger In The House || Weblann
@lachlann-macnab
Webby was doing the same thing she had done the last time she had arrived at Mr. Seamusâs house and that was scouring the place!! It was just a force of habit for the blonde implanted by her granny.Â
One always had to know the full details of their surroundings!
Know your exits, entrances, hallways, rooms, windows etc. It was espionage 101 and Bentina made it of paramount importance since Webby was very little. There wasnât much that changed about the place, except for the damages the blonde spotted every now and then. Which, she was very BUMMED ABOUT BECAUSE SHE MISSED THE BLACK ANNIS!! Ughhh, Webby was so upset when Seamus had told her about that.Â
How come she always came to Swylake after something excited had already happened?!?! The last time she had just missed the Zombie apocalypse.Â
Pushing those thoughts aside, Webby made her way to the kitchen suddenly feeling hungry from all of her scouring. It was there where she came in contact with some tall guy she has never seen before. He was putting togetherâwait was that a hamburger?!
âAre you making a HAMBURGER?! I love hamburgers!!â Webby walked right up to the stranger smiling. âI donât know you do I? Iâm Webby! Well, really itâs Abagail but no one really calls me that, unless Iâm getting in trouble.â She shrugged. âAre you a friend of MâUncle Seamus?!â

Phineas knew what it was like to be the new kid. Honestly, it kind of sucked for a while. Sure, you had the opportunity to reinvent yourself, to be someone new that you couldnât be at your old school, but not knowing anyone could be a little intimidating, too. So when Phineas spotted the new girl in line in the cafeteria, he made a point to go talk to her. They had had a class together earlier in the day, and she seemed cool.
âHey, Iâm Phineas! I think we have English together, right?â Phineas said, grabbing a few napkins. âI know itâs kind of weird being new, like, I just moved here in January, so youâre totally welcome to sit with me if you want.â
@hiimwebby-vanderwaalâ
Webby was so EXCITED to be back at school!!!!Â
Did that sound nerdy? Probably, but she was a nerd anyways so it didnât phase the blonde one bit nor did it kill her excitement. See, she had gone back to home schooling once her grandmother came back for her, but now that she was back in Swynlake, Webby was thrilled to be in a public school environment!
She LOVED it!
Some of her friends she had made here the first time around had moved and that was a bit of a downer for Webby, but at least the triplets were still here! And she knew that she could always make some new friends too!!
It was lunch time and Webby was going through the line, a tray in hand with food Bentina would probably have a heart attack over, when someone grabbed her attention. Smiling big, Webby nodded.
âI think we do! With Ms. Smythe? She was not happy to see me again.âÂ
She gave a cheerful bounce of her shoulders. The woman had given Webby quite the look when she saw the blonde walk into her classroom and Webby couldnât blame her not after that detention stunt she had pulled the last time she was in Swynlake.
âIâm Webby! And really?! That would be great! I was just going to pop a squat on the first empty seat I spotted.â

Guess Whoâs Back?!! || Ancient History
@hiimwebby-vanderwaal
Seamus hadnât been expecting company today.Â
Not that he ever really did but with the appearance of one Lachlann MacNab in his life a few years ago heâd had more than his fair share of visitors, both the good kind and the bad. The damage done to the front entrance windows, part of his back fence, and some gouges (and bloodstains) in the hardwood flooring was only a small, telltale sign of the latter, but the former had been mostly for the better. Even if heâd never know quiet or solitude in his life again.Â
The bell rang again, this time more insistent, so Seamus levered himself up from the chair heâd been in, Maeve perking her head up from where she lay at his feet, and moved to open the door.Â
Being hugged within an inch of his life open the door opening hadnât been what he was expecting, nor had the shock of blonde hair and the bouncing, bubbling voice of a young girl heâd grown fond of and had missed in the time sheâd been gone. Lachlannâs voice from further back in the house asking who was at the door was a distant sound, as was Maeveâs wuff of welcome. Seamus was in shock, almost, seeing her again. âWebby, darlinâ whatââ The girl wiggled out of the grip heâd automatically caught her in when heâd stumbled back a step, surprised by the full weight of a seventeen year old girl hitting him square in the chest.Â
He took a moment to just look at her, too, take in the familiar face that really hadnât changed a smidge of a day since the last time heâd seen her, bouncing and equally as bubbly while she waited for her gran. Then, her words finally registered. Where was Bentina?
âAbigail, lassie, whatâre ye doinâ âere? Why wouldnâ I let ye stay with me!? Anâ why would I be mad yer back? Whereâs yer gran? Is she alright?â
Webby was over the moon thrilled to hear that Mr. Seamus was not going to leave her to sleep out on the streets!! Not that she thought he would, but it has been a while since she had last seen him so you know one never knew.Â
And he was glad that she was back!!! Mr. Seamus had not forgotten about her!
The blonde basically jumped on her toes that bright smile of herâs only growing bigger (if that was even possible). It was bittersweet being on his doorstep. Webby had missed him, the triplets and Swynlake very, very, very much. This town was the first place to give her friends and give her a taste of a life outside of the walls of her home, so when she had to leave it was sad. At the same time though, Webby had been so happy to be reunited back with her granny because she worried about her.
Funny how she was placed right back in the same situation as before, happy to be in town but sad to be without her grandma.Â
Pulling back from the embrace she looked at Mr. Seamus as she curled her lips in and gave a very quick bounce of her shoulders.Â
âUmm... I donât know to both! I donât know where she is, or how she is... It all kind of happened really, really fast. One moment my granny was on the phone and the next she packed me a back pack and had a ticket for me to take the train here. I donât even have extra clothes on me just what Iâm wearing!âÂ
Webby did a cute twirl then because she happened to like the outfit she was wearing. Â
âBut it was S.H.U.S.H that contacted her. I guess something went unfinished with her last mission and granny had to leave immediately. She told me to tell you to keep an eye out because sheâll come in contact with you to explain everything. Iâm guessing in some super top secret type of way that doesnât disclose her location.âÂ
Guess Whoâs Back?!! || Ancient History
@apennywasted
So, Webby was BACK at Swynlake!!!!Â
The mere fact of that small little statement had the blonde bouncing on her toes as she rang the doorbell to Mr. Seamusâs house. The place still looked the same from what Webby remembered of it, except there were some few minor... damages, but other then that exactly how she had remembered!!
Webby just hoped that Mr. Seamus still remembered her.Â
Funny thing she forgot to mention... Seamus had no idea that she was here. See Webby returning was sort of a literal last minute spur of events. Bentina was told that there had been a major set back with her previous mission and she had to return to the field immediately. Webby didnât even have time to pack, she had a small back pack with essentials and was sent on a train to Swynlake for her safety.Â
And now she was HERE!!
She rang the door bell once more for good measure waiting with anticipation as she rocked back and forth on the balls of her heels. When the door opened, the blonde was super quick to jump right on Seamus embracing him in a tight hug.
âMr. Seamus!! Iâm BACK!!!â Webby giggled as she pulled back with this super bright smile on her lips.Â
âAnd my granny and I are really hoping you wonât be mad at my very sudden appearance out of no where! And not leave me to err sleep out on the streets!âÂ

So This Is What Getting In Trouble Feels Like || Ancient History
apennywastedâ:Â
@hiimwebby-vanderwaal
Seamus had gotten the phone call earlier in the afternoon, while he was out working on his bike. The first thought that had flitted across his mind was that something had happened. Something bad. Then he realized it was another thing entirely. Something heâd had to deal with from time to time with Adelaide.
Just like her, Abigail seemed to have a bit of a rebellious streak.
That was also why, when school got out, Seamus was waiting at the front with his bike, a spare jacket, and another riding helmet. Of any of the kids, the blonde was the only one he trusted to ride well with him. He knew her gran would have taught her about them, how to sit one, just as she had everything else. âSides, Bentina had known he rode bikes for years.
Tossing off an eyebrow, the brunet looked at the girl in front of him for a moment, gauging her words and the reaction his appearance had gotten from her. Webby clearly didnât realize what sheâd done wasnât good, that he was here for her escape artistry.
âEverythinâs fine, lass,â he murmured, words just loud enough to be heard over the hum of the engine beneath him. He maneuvered to grab the spare jacket from his side compartment and held it out to her. âPut it on with thâ helmet. Need tah talk tah ye. Ainât gonna do it out here. Thâ ladsâre fine.â He tacked the last on almost like an afterthought, mind tumbling over what it was he was going to say.
Really, he wanted to know why sheâd done it in the first place. Then, heâd go from there. But, right now, he wasnât giving the other kids the satisfaction of watching her get a talking to. Seamus knew as well as any what good that did, and it was shite for all.
âYer bag alright or d'yah need tah stow it?â
Webby still didnât have the slightest clues as to why Mr. Seamus was here but she was definitely excited to get to ride in the bike!!! The excitement had but swept away the need for an answer as the blonde even bounced on the balls of her feet.
First thing was first though, safety!!
Webby made sure to be very meticulous with placing her helmet on because she wanted to make sure that it was done properly. Once that was done to her complete perfection, she hopped right on the back seat, wrapping her arms tightly around Mr. Seamus.
âNope!! Iâm all good!!â She spoke loud enough against the humming of the engine as Mr. Seamus went off.
The blonde absolutely LOVED the sensation of the wind hitting her face, but right now she was focusing on the fact that Mr. Seamus had mentioned wanting to talk to her.
Talk to her about what? Was it about her Granny?!? Had he heard from her?!?
Truth be told, Webby hadnât heard from Bentina in a while and that had her worried some. She knew that her grandmother would communicate with her as soon as she was able to and that she could take care of herself plenty but still...
âIs this about granny?â It probably wasnât best to ask as Seamus eas driving, but Webby had done so anyway.
Another Check Off the Olâ Bucket List || Webvee

While Webby was arguing with Ms. Smythe, Vee was flipping through her playlist to make sure the âMission Impossibleâ theme song was cued and ready to go. Later on, as she reflected on the events from home, Vee wasnât quite sure how she managed not to burst into fits of giggles at Webbyâs theatrics. The whole scene was hilarious and Ms. Smythe had bought every word of it.Â
She honestly thought Ms. Smyth was going to explode and just give them extra detention on principle, but thankfully she decided to try and prove them wrong first.Â
When Webby flipped her hair over her shoulder, Vee ran over and gave her a huge jumping high five. âNice! That was a brilliant performance Webby, seriously inspired!â
She held up her phone, thumb poised to start the music, smirking as she asked, âAre you ready for part 5a?â
Webby enthusiastically returned the high-five with a bubbly and perky jump to boot. Once that was done she did a bow and a curtsy all with a proud smile lightening up her features.
âThank you, I tried.â She giggled.
If her granny saw her now! Well... maybe on second thought, it was probably best that her grandmother wasnât witnessing any of this. She would have flipped all the way to Neptune and back. It was a good thing that thought was so far away from Webbyâs mind right now!
âYes! Letâs DO THIS!â
The classroom present at the moment were all very confused as to what was going on and it only dawned on the blonde now that there were currently other people present. Before making her way to the window to do her epic finale summersault off it, Webby walked to the front of the classroom with a huge smile on her face.
âHi!!! So ummm you guys are all free to do whatever you want now!!! WOO!!! Swylake is perfectly fine, soooo HAVE FUN, go mental, DO YOU!!â
Her speech was done with and so Webby proceeded in running to the window Vee was standing by. The blonde pushed open the window and gave her friend a nod of approval to start the music!
Mission Impossible starting playing and Webby was so jazzed and ready!!!! The blonde positioned herself accordingly and with all the excitement in the world, somersaulted out the window.

Mateo was resting, so to speak. Ok, not really, but he was sitting at home rather than wandering the town for once, though that was mostly because Isa had asked him to meet her friend.Â
So he parked himself on the couch for the afternoon, a book on South American lore open across his lap and Zuzo curled up on the couch beside him
The young sorcerer looked down at the familiar snoozing beside him and smiled. Zuzo had proven to be a great companion since his arrival a month ago. Heâd known the familiar from back when heâd been his grandfatherâs apprentice, but Zuzo had disappeared after Alacazarâs death and just showedI up shortly after the car accident. He had kept Mateo company while he was in the hospital and now proved to be a great help with the boyâs studies.Â
Mateo scratched him idly behind the ears, his gaze flicking to the hallway when the doorbell rang and Isa ran to get it.Â
âHey, sleepy head, you probably want to be awake for this,â Mateo gently poked the fox.Â
âWho says Iâm sleeping?â
âFair point.â
When Isa returned and introduced her friend, Mateo offered the girl a wide, friendly smile and a wave. âNice to meet you, Webby! Iâm Mateo, and this is Zuzo,â he pointed to the fox who was still fake sleeping for reasons unknown to him, âI have a few books, but I hope heâll be able to help us out with this mystery too.â
At first, when Mateo mentioned his fox, Zuzo being the one that could help them out regarding information about the necklace, Webby had cocked her head and looked at the man with a look of confusion.
Zuzo was a fox, what could a fox do?Â
But that confusion had very quickly disappeared as the light bulb in her brain turned right on.Â
âHoly cow!! Zuzo is a familiar!!! Heâs your familiar!!!âÂ
Because Webby had just remembered that Mateo was a sorcerer, so it all made perfect sense to the blonde now.
âIâve read about them!!!!!! They are servants of a magical family of sorcerers!! I just have never actually seen one before. This is so COOL!!âÂ
Webby was already bouncing on her toes and Zuzo hadnât even started talking. It didnât matter really, anything magic-related excited the blonde and now she could add and CROSS OUT meeting a familiar in her bucket list!!!
Isabel couldnât help but laugh as she watched Webbyâs excitement bubble up to the surface. It was refreshing for her to see because well... she couldnât remember the last time she had ever been that excited.Â
Of course, that was neither here nor there.Â
âIâm glad that Zuzo gets to be the first one for you. Heâs pretty awesome. Nos vas ayudar, si? Zuzo. I know youâre not really sleeping there.â Â
Information On The Treasure || Wizard Duckling + Isabel
@wizardroyale
Part two of adventure planning was ready to go underway as Webby was outside Isabelâs flat door giving it a knock. Part one had been beautifully executed, the blonde imparting her adventure plans and all that she had learned to Vee and Mirium. Both girls were down for being a part of the treasure hunting and had even given some ideas to help the process.Â
One of them was getting more precise information. Luckily for Webby, she was friends with Isabel Flores, one of the Avalor princesses and could get information right from the closest source to the necklace.Â
The door opened and Isa was behind it lips smiling wide as she saw Webby.
âWebby, come in!âÂ
And even before the blonde could fully enter, Isa had wrapped her around in a hug and then closed the door behind them.Â
âMateo is in the living room. I told him I had a friend coming over who was interested in la corazon de la belleza and wanted to learn more about it. I figured he would be your best bet as even I donât know any more than what I told you about with la llorona.â Â
Isa lead Webby into the living room and as spoken there was Mateo seated on one of their couches. The brunette smiled at Mateo as she did a little half turn to point to Webby.Â
âThis is the friend I was telling you about.â And immediately, Webby chimed right in, waving big with the brightest smile on her features. âHi!! Iâm Webby!!â
Another Check Off the Olâ Bucket List || Webvee
vampire-with-a-veeâ:
Vee grinned, trying hard not to burst into giggles when Webby executed Part 3B in Phase 2 of their plan: Initial Class Distraction.Â
They had worked out the plan in great detail with back up plans and optional steps taking into account as many variables as possibleâper Webbyâs analysis. Her friend had a mind for considering the odds like that. It was impressive really.
Ms. Smyth, a no-nonsense, austere woman, sent a flurry of hushing noises around the room amidst the murmurs and whispers of the other students, her eyes narrowing. âSilence! Everyone! Please, be quiet!â she barked to the room at large, focusing in on Webby, âItâs nothing Iâm sure, we would have heardââ
The students were starting to quiet down obediently and Vee knew the time had come to enact optional Part 3C and leapt from her seat with a little scream, her hands over her mouth, her eyes wide with fear as she cried out, âOh my god! Did you feel that! I think the building is shaking!â
Hiding her face behind her hands, she turned her head to shoot a cheeky wink over in Webbyâs direction, signaling her to move forward to Part 4.
Ms. Smyth was soon realizing that she was losing control of her room and for a woman who prided herself in maintaining control, this was not an option she was willing to entertain.Â
âThis building is not shaking! Sit down, Ms. Hauntley.â
Seriously, who uses a studentâs last name to grab their attention? Didnât matter, as Webby instantly got up herself, following Veeâs lead, fist slamming against her student table.
âItâs the town! Itâs up to something again! It is and you wonât tell us! We are all going to be HAMBURGER MEAT sitting here!âÂ
Webby made sure her words were hurled out in a highly dramatic flare of panic. Hey, they needed to sell this after all didnât they? Her theatrical display was working as the rest of the students in the classroom began to speak in rush tones of fear and panic. Some had even begun getting up running to exit out of the classroom.Â
Ms. Smyth immediately charged to the front door, blocking all attempts as she spoke with a booming authoritative voice.Â
âAll of you sit down this instant!â
Everyone in the room halted in their actions all suspended in shocked silence at the demanding presence Ms. Smythe had finished executing. The woman very quickly collected herself and straightened out her blouse, erecting her back straight.Â
âI will not have this classroom turn into wild bumbling baboons, everyone will take their seat as instructed. I will fix this meaningless air of panic and make certain that nothing is going on outside of the walls of this classroom. Take your seats now.âÂ
Everyone did as was told, while Ms. Smyth took a step outside of the classroom. The scene was magic to Webbyâs eyes because the moment the teacher had stepped out the room the blonde sped right to the door, closed it shut and locked Ms. Smyth out of her own classroom.Â
With a very proud and smug smile, Webby did a little flip of her hair. âNothing to it.â
