Learning objectives and tasks
Edit and revise book by internship host, keep blog up to date
written Communication, didactics, consider visual appeal and target group
Reflection: I didn't get to work on the book but only on the blog and her online presentation through her social media. I'm spent a lot of time trying to find the target group and understand as it was older than the target group I usually write for. This made the task more challenging then I thought it would but it was a great exercise in targeting.
Create recipes and meal plans for webpage and book
Consider Nutritional knowledge, key hole meals, consider personal needs and preferences of the client.
Reflection: I didn't get to make recipes but I did use my nutritional knowledge when making the blog post where I also had to make a suggestive meal plan that fulfilled the protein needs of a teenage boy.
Guide internship host as client for a weight lifting program
Apply sports didactics, physiology, planning of program that takes clients injuries into consideration
Reflection: This was my favorite part! I got to make four programs and three others from the internship network have contacted me for programs. I felt like I really got to apply what we had learned in module five about sports didactics. I also used some of the element we learned from coaching when talking with clients about their programs.
My last task was to coach clients but since the host didn't have any at the moment and the other interns didn't wanted coaching I didn't get to exercise this except when I applied it along with training.
I also developed skills within other areas of health promotion such as marketing and administative tasks. This I learned by working with the other interns since they was taking different educations than me. I have already applied the marketing tools I got, in my work for carrotstick.dk
