Personal Experience
Nothing was as I had expected. Lot of things changed. I had thought I would be doing works just within the office and would be involved in some awareness programmes, which did not happen. For some days I was working in office. Let’s say to my luck came the Fiscal year plan which changed almost everything. Likewise, my tasks were also changed along with others.
I got to visit a lot of places, I got to know about different people, tribes, culture, and condition of people. I came to know how social, economic and geographically different is one place from another. It also gave me the idea how to deal with different people of different places. Mainly, I learned the practical things from field work. It also gave me idea that whatever we read in theory aren’t same as in practical field. So, if we want to do something in real we need to be so practical. I also learnt that before formulating any plans or policies, we need to know the root problems from ground level. Some of the things can’t be analyzed and known just by sitting in the office and watching over the collected data or information.
We have to be polite to everyone even to impolite ones, every problem can be dealt with politeness. You must be thinking it’s not s practical, but it’s real, I tried it and it worked!! I was like OK !! makes sense….so it’s a good tactic to handle the rude, impolite people.
Dress, religion is always the first thing to be kept into consideration. Knowledge of some customs is really important in some area. I came to solution of many problems like working in different sectors at the same time, collaborating with different natured people, dealing with people, convincing people, etc. Everything has alternative solutions, we need to go through them in a proper and precise way to overcome the problem.
Most of all, in the very stressing kind of solution I learned to enjoy the work, enjoy the environment, have fun in every circumstances which made the stress less and helped to complete tasks easily and quickly.
