*i went by current ships, since i’ve been shipping for 18 years, this was hard!
1. Hannibal Lecter/Will Graham (Hannigram) - well, it’s canon, and Hannibal at first seems to be the type to take the twinkish Will and have his way with him, because he’s so intimidating and charming and smart, and Will seems so confused and helpless. but by the end of it, Hannibal is so in love with him that he becomes the King that would give the Prince everything, if only the Prince will let him. like Hannibal worships Will at his feet. it’s the most detailed love story i’ve ever seen, on screen or on paper. way to turn the aggressive power master/frightened pretty boy trope on it’s head. bravo Bryan Fuller~
2. Dave Starsky/Ken Hutchinson (Starch) - two young men become friends at the police academy. they become partners. they cook dinners with candles for each other. they go on vacations together. they say ‘i love you’ and talk about kissing, and hold each other. they dance together, fall into each others arms. they buy a house together, they lay in beds together, they write notes to each other in lipstick. as a promotional shoot, the actors ran down a beach in matching shirts with their names in rainbow letters. out of all my ships, it’s my longest and strongest, and i don’t think it’ll ever fade.
3. young Sam Winchester/young Dean Winchester (Weecest) - yes i love Wincest, i love Swesson, i love it all. but the Winchesters when they were young makes the most sense to me. that’s when they shared beds and backseats. that’s when they learned what kissing and touching was and had to deal with it. it’s when they were left in sweaty trailers in fields in Arkansas with tv and cereal and washing cars to pass the time. it’s when they had to learn to hunt together. it’s when they had to learn to be who they are now. i understand not wanting to sexualize underage relationships, but when it comes to Sam and Dean, it doesn’t get better for me then the passion and confusion that comes out of growing up and learning things- WITH YOUR BOTHER ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
4. Jared Padalecki/Jensen Ackles (Padackles) - let’s be clear. i do not tinhat, i don’t ship this as fanon either. i believe that j2 love their wives. if it were to come out that j2 were actually an item, i would be over the moon with joy. what takes me over the moon right now is seeing them with their families. i can take both, man. and i understand every fandom has rpf ships, which negates the idea of any of them being real. but j2 really have gone far and above the average. the co owned wine company/vacations together/moving to the same neighborhood to raise their families together/spending most days of the year together for 12 years by choice. it’s an easy ship. what can i say. i don’t claim to say they’re in love, i would never do that. but if it turns out that way i ain’t mad at it.
5. Dinesh Chugtai/Bertram Gilfoyle (Dinfoyle) - prissy rugby shirt wearing Pakistani computer programmer meets Satan worshiping devil may care nerd hotness and co programmer. enter endless teasing, constant arguing, living together, sharing the work space, sharing personal space, never leaving each others side, becoming hate!friends, becoming snide, prude, us against the rest, nerdy, hate!friends. i’ve actually written a lot of fan fiction about them because this fandom is such a newborn. there’s a lot of ground to cover and season 3 starts in April ; )
