It’d been a relatively good day, despite the call (or lack thereof) to her father on Sunday, the week had been pretty laid back thus far. Scooping up Smudge, she kissed the top of his head with a grin, “You wanna go......outside?” As soon as the words came off her lips, his tail started wagging and his head cocked to the side, a sight that never failed to make her heart feel full. “Okay, okay, don’t give me that face, let’s go.” She placed him back on the ground, grabbing his leash and locking her penthouse door behind her, humming as she reached the elevator and pressed the bottom floor. Soon, she was outside, thumbing through her timeline on twitter to pass the time as Smudge ran around and mingled with other dogs at the small dog park that the complex had for them to play in.

Back in high school, Dani was a huge party girl, and even if she tries not to be now.....an inner party girl never truly dies. Especially not one with vices as strong as Dani’s.

When Dani was twenty, fresh to the industry and working in an environment like adult films, she met Michael. It was a company party, and the minute she laid eyes on him she was a goner. He looked like someone she’d only seen in movies, and while she’d met her fair share of celebrities from her infamous Hooters days....there was something about him that drew her in. He was confident, he was well established, and she found herself enamored by him almost instantly. She still remembers the minute they had been introduced, the light in his eyes, the way her heart was pounding in her ears, and she knew that (against her better judgement) she had to have him.

It took a little bit of work, her suggesting they film together, even if he was a bit hesitant about making something with someone so new.....but that only spurred her on to making sure she was the best fuck he’d ever had. There was always that need to impress, to show him why she was best for him, to constantly keep him interested in her. Soon enough, she roped him in and they had begun dating and putting out regular content. Titles like “real life porn couple, super passionate” became well known for the two, gathering viewers and fans alike of their relationships. But, like most good things, it was falling apart behind the scenes.

Late nights, him gone with his phone going straight to voicemail only to come up with some weak excuse as to what he was doing or why he wasn’t picking up. She saw through it, but she always saw the best in most even if they didn’t exactly deserve it. Dani just wanted to make it work, she wanted not to let the fans down, to let him down, and it slowly began eating her from the inside out. Not to mention, keeping up with his partying invited demons back into her life that she’d long left back in New York. She was getting paranoid, and it was pushing her to the brink that Michael seemingly didn’t care. At the end of the day, he had a girl to crawl into bed with.....whether that meant with her or with whoever he was with that was making him not pick up his phone.

Fights became common, breaking glasses and screaming, and Dani was feeling so small that it began to wear her down. Her content was less consistent, less her and more of a shell of the confident woman she used to be. And Michael? He became bored, and she knew he was too much of a coward to actually end things. So, after over a year of back and forth, Dani packed her stuff and moved out of the apartment they shared, leaving a check for her part of rent and that was it. Not to her surprise, she only received two long worded and harsh texts before ultimately never hearing from him again. Nowadays, she looks back on the relationship with nothing but distaste and decides to just avoid of talking about the toxicity that was their relationship.
