That country life. I love visiting my parents 😍
I got a few things done on my weekend off. I spent 8 hours today reworking Vincent's ears ("Vincent" Day 17) again. I don't know why I've had such a problem with them, but I finally just pulled most of what was already done off my muslin and started over. At the end of the day, I was happy with the ears so I glued all of it down and re-claimed a lot of pins. Getting the loose pieces glued was really my main goal. It's been unusually dry here in Florida, and we've had wildfire scares. I realized that if we had to evacuate for fire (or our upcoming hurricane season), I wouldn't be able to just pull "Vincent" off the wall with the rest of my quilt projects because of all the pins holding loose pieces to the foam board behind it. Time to get this quilt top finished! I also got my dress hemmed (despite the generous amount of help from Thumper and Bobbin), and I restored my car's glazed headlights. I still need to get good pictures of "Iris" to send to the Cherrywood Challenge (it was overcast all weekend), but I still feel like it was a productive weekend.
