This weekend I want to recommend a fic that, in my opinion, is a must read.

Needing/Getting by chapstickaddict is the unexpected, alternative, impossibly beautiful and intricate fic that has fascinated me ever since I first read it. There is so much world building, lore and incredible descriptions that it is a true pleasure to read.

Sith raised Anakin hiding from everyone with his two wonderful feral twins and his sassy apprentice Ahsoka stumbling upon and taking home Jedi Obi-Wan is just something very, very special.

One of the great things about fanfiction is that you can take characters and throw them into an infinite number of universes. I have my favourites of this type in my collection In an other universe.

This weekend I'm going to recommend one of the fic that has made me laugh the most.

@palfriendpatine66 's DX: Lovesick is a fantastically funny, sweet and sexy fic where in Anakin wreaks havoc and Dr Kenobi can do nothing but fall for the reckless bad luck magnet that repeatedly ends up in his ER.

Please read it, but be prepared for the risk of hiccups from laughing (happened to me several times)

This weekend I have selected a fic from my collection In an other universe. This is my collection of fic that does not take place in the SW universe.

In Pursuit of Cold Water by @jswander is a marvellously well-written fic, and I remember not being able to put it down, staying up half the night reading it.

Anakin as a stubborn, injured and powerful merman alongside smart, giving and persistent marine biologist Obi-Wan is something special, plus there's some brilliant world building.

Be prepared to be captured.

Weekend recommendations

This weekend I'm going to recommend one of my comfort fics found in my collection Walking in the Light.

Some fic, like certain books and movies I return to again and again, especially on a bad day when I need to be cheered up and reminded of the beautiful and good things in life.

36 Questions by kenobiapologist is one such fic. The whole setup of the story is so wonderfully simple, but the depth of it surprising and amazing.

Despite a ravaging storm Anakin and Obi-Wan share a quiet night at home in the temple. They play a game and some surprising truths come to light.

It's a beautiful and happy story that always puts me in a better mood.

For this weekend I'd like to recommend some Sith Obi-Wan from my collection The dark path.

Bound By You by StrangeLilBat is an age reversal AU with Sith raised Obi-Wan being a braty horny little Sith lusting after Jedi master Skywalker.

It's funny, sexy and surprising, and definitely a pleasure to read.

Sometimes (often) I'm here to read fics for the shameless kriffing and not necessarily so much for the plot. I've gathered these in my collection, shameless.

This weekend's recommendation is Ready Stance by @intermundia. It features two of my favourite things in a fic, lightsaber duel and hot unrestrained smut... Sorry forgot one thing, so three favourites, because commanding, demanding Master Obi-Wan kriffing the living light out of Anakin is definitely one of my favourite things too.

This weekend I want to recommend a fic from my collection The brightest stars.

This is one of the fic that has cost me the most tears, and that's a compliment. I'm an emotional reader and writer, and an old sap, but Afterlife by @knightjane is something special. It's so much HURT/COMFORT and the emotional rollercoaster is quite the ride. It also contains a few good surprising twists and that's something I love.

I recommend having a box of tissues ready before reading this and to be prepared to enjoy ALL the obikin emotional drama.

Weekend recommendations

This weekend I'd like to recommend a lovely and fluffy fic from my Walking in the Light collection.

Write to Me (and Escape) by LadyDisdayne is a wonderful fic about pining, idiots in love and discovering that the one you love loves you too.

When Quin (our wonderful gremlin who meddles in Obi-Wan's life for his own sake) signs Obi-Wan up on a dating site, he meets MasterVerdant and falls head over heels for him, even though he's still in love with his own Master Qui-Gon.

Complications and entanglements are ensured 😁

It's a wonderful short fic I recommend enjoying together with a pot of Sapir tea.
