Gem: tackle him!
Scar: dump him.
Bdubs: kick him in the shin.
Mumbo: NO TO ALL OF THOSE! JUST ASK ME TO LEAN DOWN!
Grian, of course, because he refuses to listen to instruction instead opts for the 'just climb up Mumbo' approach. Mumbo accepts it could be worse.
Without fail, when every new Hermit joins, they are always shocked to find out how tall Xisuma really is. Even more so when they learn Keralis is his husband. I mean, other than them being mostly polar opposites, there's an... odd height difference.
Xisuma standing at a proud 7 feet on the dot with Keralis breaking 5'2. (even if that's just his 'players' height)
And Keralis just loves the variety of reactions from both new and old Hermits when he makes some kind of comment about it.
Xisuma's always confused why people are so shocked, it's not like he hides his height, right? Cleo has had to break it to him gently that he doesn't - to put it kindly - give off tall energy. Keralis was too busy laughing at how distressed X looked at the thought he was somehow lying to people.
Gem just whips out a random block from her inventory to stand on when she wants to kiss Pearl. Problem solved!
This is a solution in many situations, she's discovered. Need to reach something? Block. Need to stare right into somebody's eyes? Block. Need to kiss her girlfriend? That's the block!
Maybe one day it'll even make her better at speed bridging!
Grian's been shorter than Mumbo for forever, but since they got together he's decided it's the worst thing ever, actually, for one simple reason: he can't steal kisses from mumbo.
Mumbo can just walk up behind him, kiss him and sneak away and leave him flustered, but Grian can't do the same because he needs him to lean down or needs to pull him down.
Mumbo thinks it's adorable every time he gets frustrated with that. He leans down every time
What he doesn't expect is for Grian to suddenly launch onto his back one day and nearly take both of them over.
He should have. He really should have. Especially with the way Grian cackles as he does.
Etho is the fourth or fifth tallest hermit depending on whether you count Mumbo and Skizz as one place or two (they're the same height) and Joel is Joel. He's not particularly short, per se, but he's not far off Bdubs.
Joel has recently taken to pulling Etho down to his height "to annoy him". Etho won't say he likes it, but Joel knows anyways.
One time Etho tried to lift him up in retaliation. It went badly, and he never did it again, but Joel will admit it was fun until he nearly fell.

He thinks he prefers yanking Etho down anyway. Etho trying to pick him up was pretty cute, though. Not as cute as how apologetic the guy was after - would've thought he'd set the kitchen on fire!
Pearl is too tall for Gem to just come up to her and kiss her. Gem finds this to be a huge problem. She's asked a few hermits about how she should fix this, her favorite answers as of now are:
Tell her she found something shiny on the ground to get her to bend down
Pull her down by the strap of her mail bag
Kick her in the shins
She's told Pearl about her little survey, much to Pearls horror at the suggestions.
"Just ask me to bend down, you don't have to KICK me!"
That could work...nah, Gem would rather find other ways. Maybe Cleo has a good idea...
Gem's even started taking a tally when the same idea comes up multiple times! Maybe she'll put together a poll, get a proper survey of options...
Pearl is just glad Gem is having fun. She thinks? Should she be concerned?
Mumbo leaning forward to kiss Grian since he's too tall + Grian leaning back because it's funny to see mumbo struggle until they flop down and fall over eachother whilegiggling. Imagine.
They just need to remember not to do it on hard floors, they're both still sporting some bruises from the last time...
Skizz is taller then Impulse, but is wasn't always that way. When they were kids Impulse was taller then Skizz, he would always make fun of him for being older but shorter. Impulse would soon regret making those jokes. With them now dating, Skizz had free regin to make fun of Impulse. Impulse does mind, but he always get a kiss from Skizz when he says something about his height, so it's not that bad he supposes.

He knows Skizz means no harm by it - his partner hasn't got a mean bone in him. And the way Skizz smiles as he says it... Impulse can never be annoyed at him.
Payback is fair game. If only Impulse could stay the tallest...
