These Mongolian Beef Satay Kabobs are a delicious twist on the classic Mongolian beef dish. Marinated in a savory and slightly sweet sauce, these beef kabobs are grilled to perfection, creating a smoky and flavorful dish. Perfect for a barbecue or a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients: 1 lb thinly sliced beef sirloin. 1/4 cup soy sauce. 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce. 2 tablespoons brown sugar. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon ginger, grated. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil. Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger to create the marinade. Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Refrigerate and marinate for at least 30 minutes. Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. Thread marinated beef slices onto the soaked wooden skewers, creating kabobs. Brush the vegetable oil onto the kabobs to prevent sticking on the grill or broiler. Grill or broil the beef satay kabobs for about 2-3 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness. While grilling, you can brush some additional marinade on the kabobs for extra flavor. Serve hot with a spicy dipping sauce see below.
