I couldn’t resist this scene from  Weevilo707′s Heartstrings on Archive of Our Own. It’s done in Windows Sketchpad, so there’s only one layer and I had limited colors, but it was a nice challenge. 

I tried to make them look like how they’re described in the fic??? Basically, AU where Angus is Lup and Barry’s kid. A wee Angus Bluejorts.

Okay so I was relaying this story on discord and the people there were amazing at giving me the courage to sit down and finally make a post about what happened in the TFW Discord, better known as the "Taz Fiction Writers" discord. This involved two people fairly popular both on that discord and in The Adventure Zone fandom in general and I was honestly too intimidated to be public about it until now.

I shared the screenshots I saved with @taylor-that-chic, who posted them with my permission. Trigger warning for discussion about pedophilia and media that involves sexualizing children and incest.

Last year around summer I joined the fanfiction writing discord and was part of it for a little over a month. I had my own issues with it but it was just stuff like favoritism and elitism normal fandom shit. Occasionally, people discussed subjects that were triggering but they were usually shut down quickly, just from what I saw within that short time period.

Anyway one night I get on and load the venting channel and my app opened up to Myles and Weevil talking about how they're both just a okay with media that puts minors in sexual situations and stuff that involves incest, and they keep talking about it even when it's obviously upsetting people on the channel. This is also a channel open to Minors and is a discussion that's against the rules. But these are two big name fans so no one stops them. I screenshot their posts and message another mod, who was called Mod Lup on the channel at the time. I made a post in the channel about how there was upsetting material in the log and I logged off for the night.

Next day, there's a post saying "if you have a problem don't be passive aggressive about it" In the announcements and that was it. Nothing about the discussion and the posts weren't deleted. I was pissed. I went on the general channel where people were talking about what happened and I said what happened without naming names and just said it involved mods talking about it and that something needed to be done. Another mod, whom I'm assuming no one showed the screenshots to I don't remember their name just that their discord icon was a doodle of Mercy from Overwatch, said that I "didn't have the balls" (exact words) to post proof. I was completely fu ked and posted the same screenshots I shared with Taylor in general and said "bite me".

Immediately, I was banned. I know this because people still in the server said all my posts vanished and that they never knew what happened or why I left.

Because of this, there are now several artists and writers in the Taz fandom that have me blocked because I assume they were either told lies about what happened or thought I exploded over nothing without getting to read the screenshots. The discord is fairly popular and one of the people who I screenshotted is a popular fanfic writer so no one questioned them.

As a CSA survivor, it fucked me up reading about how just fantastically okay they all were with shit that fetishizes what happened to me especially in a channel full of minors. This also wasn't an nsfw channel so everyone had access to the posts.

Again here's a link to the screenshots of the discussion, with other people involved censored because they were either minors or people I don't want to have retaliated against by the fandom.

Just FYI, both Myles and Weevil are over 20.

They were his family, and now this kid was too.

There's a little half-elf kid on the train, in a fancy suit with a fancy hat and a fancy voice. Taako doesn't pay him much mind at first, he's not one for kids after all.

Fuck though, if something about him doesn't pull at heartstrings that Taako hadn't even realize were still there.

Another good fic recommendation is Don't You Forget The Sun by Weevilo707(with additions of art by the lovely Moonpaw17), which is a bit over 200k words

It's another davekat fic where karkat, with help from his friends, escapes alternia and comes to earth, after which dave finds him and takes him in.

It's unfinished and I don't think it ever will be finished, but the latest chapter makes a good end point anyway.

I was just wondering if that was normal since I've never tried to do something like this before and am still relatively new to AO3. Should I just wait until you 'approve' it I think?
