November, 2015. Banlung, Ratanakiri. The land of red dust and waterfalls in the north east of Cambodia. Had to throw up this one of #BackpackingPac with some of the local kids posing at Yeak Laom volcanic lake just outside the town. Almost a perfect circle, it's crystal clear turquoise waters are surrounded by thick green forest. The locals consider this lake sacred and believe in a legend of a monster that lives in its depths, and this one is deep.. Loch Ness of the East? #WeFoundAsianNessy. But far more enjoyable to swim in I'm sure!
