she is big… i’ve noticed a lot of times in the show they have the tendency to make her somehow hold things with her own weight by herself, or she lands on people (like Alex and Gene) multiple times and nearly kills them (im kidding but still) lmfao. it also makes sense for her to be big and muscular for a strong pirate like her, and a nod to her masculine appearance.

Gene: 6’1” (185.42 cm) ~130 lbs (~58.967 kg)

underweight, as expected. i mean, i really cant imagine Gene being anything but skinny.

very, very skinny. literally a twig lmao, to represent her more bug-like design i gave her, and i also made her incredibly small to be more accurate to other interpretations of fairies instead of being life sized

Just rent yourself a fatty today! Take them with you when you head out so folks can comment on his weight instead of yours! Have them sit at home, and when you feel that painfully strong temptation to cheat on your diet, just feed those treats to your rent-a-fatty until the temptation is gone! (or there’s no food left to be tempted by in the first place)

So, this is thin Araki in episode 7. A fun thing is that when the rival team sees his weight loss, they say "Woaw, he managed to lost his fat and keep/build his muscles... Must be because of a strict diet and a good training". And it seemed it was leading up to a joke-reveal, like "No, I just spend two weeks in a sauna" or something like that. Because Araki is a character that is also part of the comedy club, that makes jokes and because he lost all of his weight in 10 days. I thought the unbelievable weight gain would be more "logical" by having an explanation also unbelievable and funny. But no. His weight loss is not explained, and everyone go along with it. Seriously, sports anime are weird.

I found a cool article on Scarleteen (a sex ed website that’s directed at teens but seems helpful for everyone) about having a fat partner if you’re on the thin side. Here are some highlights:
